The power of SLIME has been compelling kids for the past few years, and what I thought might be a passing fad has shown no signs of letting up - especially here at Rock Father HQ. In our house it's 9-year-old Addie who holds the position of resident slime enthusiast and chemist, and because of that she's been asking for months if she could create her own "Slime Channel" on YouTube. Since I'm not a big fan of many elements of the YouTube culture (despite being a creator on the platform), I said she could have a "show" on my channel: Addie's Slime Videos. But I actually launched it on Facebook first (where it's actually done better), and this week the initial episode went live. For its debut, Addie cracks into a box of Super Cool Slime from the folks at Kangaroo Manufacturing - an assortment of ready-mixed slimes that I pegged as potential stocking stuffers for my 2018 Holiday Wish Guide™. Marvel Studios' Avengers: Infinity War recently got a bump, moving into an April 27 release date for the much-anticipated film... the biggest comic book movie ever. With  that, the toys started hitting retail a little earlier as well, and Hasbro has been leading the charge as the master licensee, bringing forth new ways to play as the Marvel #UniverseUnites. In celebration of the new toy launch, Hasbro sent over a special delivery to Rock Father HQ - a box packed with a sampling of new items from across their product lines - a little of everything that will excite families from kids to collectors. While I'll be sharing formal reviews in the days and weeks ahead, here's a quick edition of UNBOXED in which I crack open the case to find new Titan Hero Power FX figures, Nerf Assembler Gear, Marvel Legends 6' action figures, characters from the basic figure assortment and the new Iron Man Hero Vision - an AR experience that was really being touted at the recent 115th North American International Toy Fair in New York City. MGA Entertainment entered 2018 on a massive high, riding a wave of success fueled by their hit L.O.L. Surprise! line. As much as I champion gender-free play (let kids play with what they want!), the "surprise" toy market has largely skewed toward girls, and this is something that I've seen first-hand. Having already jumped into the action-aisle with their Awesome Little Green Men, MGA now has a "surprise" for that crowd as well with the release of Crate Creatures Surprise! I was initially contacted about checking these out just before Christmas but didn't have time to take a look until after the holiday rush - which is fine since the availability is better now. This new collection of interactive figures brings the "unboxing" experience to life in a way that can be repeated again and again. Check out the video below, along with some detailed thoughts on this new line...

Funko POP! Vinyls have become an incredible phenomenon in recent years, allowing kids and collectors to amass huge collections of their favorite pop culture characters. For those who want something smaller, the Pocket Pops! have been a great option, and one that's recently spun off into the keychain realm. In reality, these collectible, tradeable miniatures are simply Pocket Pops! with a keychain screwed into the top, so you can easily unscrew the keychain to play with the figures by themselves. My friends at Entertainment Earth recently sent us an entire factory-fresh display case of the new Funko Disney Series 1 Pocket Pop! Keychains, so Finley and I entered The Toy Testing Facility at Rock Father HQ to tackle these blind bags head-on in an episode of UNBOXED! Check out our full unboxing video below for your first look at this awesome new assortment...

A little while back, Entertainment Earth sent us a full factory display case of Cartoon Network "Cartoon! Cartoon!" Vinyl Figure Blind Boxes from TITAN Merchandise. Digging the 3" vinyl figures and knowing how much my little ones do as well, we opted to do an unboxing as opposed to a straight-up review. Thing is, as we filmed our video, I figured a bunch of diehard Cartoon Network fans were probably gonna beat me up about this. With few exceptions (Over the Garden Wall, for one), I haven't seen any of the shows represented in this assortment. Still, the figures are cool, and there's some chase options available. What did we get? Watch the video to find out, and to get your own TITANS in either display cases or single packs, visit my friends at Entertainment Earth!

2017 Holiday Wish GuideAs expected, Marvel Studios' THOR: RAGNAROK lit up the box office during the early days of November, ushering in a heroic start to the holiday movie season. Like the films that have preceded it in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the latest installment is joined by a full line of toys from Hasbro, and among them are a fresh assortment of role-play items and interactive figures. To celebrate the release of the film, Hasbro sent over an assortment for review, and The Rock Daughters™ were more than happy to crack them open for some new adventures. Check out the review and unboxing video below!
