Sometimes things just have a way of working out... like launching the 2018 installment of 31 Days of Halloween alongside Phase One of the annual Holiday Wish Guide™. And since that's happening, it's only fitting that the debut entry for this year's celebration of October's finest moment is something that's in both. From PLAYMOBIL comes the new Take Along Haunted House (9312), an upgrade and expansion of an idea presented by the discontinued Haunted House Play Box (5638) from a few years back.

PLAYMOBIL Haunted House Review

First spotted at the 115th North American Toy Fair back in February, this spook-tacular new set is released alongside a trio of figure two-packs including the Werewolf & Witch, Mummy & Grim Reaper and Vampire & Frankenstein. Bring them all together with the Scientist, Monster and Vampire included with the Haunted House and it's a bunch of ghoulish fun for kids ages 4 and up! I'd almost call it a mad monster party...

This easily-portable haunted house opens up to reveal a twisted laboratory packed with everything that a budding Doctor Frankenstein could need. There's potions and beakers, plans to create monsters, a torch, spider, removable spider web, a quill pen, table, chair,  shelving unit and more. Of course, there's also a coffin for our vampire friend, and some chains to keep that unpredictable monster held back.

When play is done, everything packs away for easy storage or to move the monsters elsewhere. As an added bonus, the Take Along Haunted House is the perfect place for the PLAYMOBIL Ghostbusters to launch an investigation of specters and spooks!

Will the scientist be able to unleash his creations about the unsuspecting masses? Will the vampire rise to take his fresh bite? Will the monster emerge to spread fear throughout the forest? Or will they all just be some friendly, but vastly misunderstood creatures that are just trying to have a good time? There are no limits when it comes to imagination!

Rock Father-approved for kids, and this is a set I can see a lot grownup monster enthusiasts enjoying as well.
