The Rock Father™ is a MEGA™Ambassador and Beyonder

The holiday rush is on, and as an extension to my annual Holiday Wish Guide, it's time to take a look at some great gift ideas for the whole family from MEGA™.  Their ever-expanding line of MEGA Construx™ building sets can bring families together for open-ended play, much of which now features iconic characters. From developing builders to kids ages 4+, from tweens to adult collectors, MEGA™ has something for everyone, and there’s no better time than the holidays to spend some time with the family, getting together to “Build Beyond.” Below are just a few Rock Father Picks for the season, but the MEGA™ Shop is your go-to for the full assortment, including some brand-new toys

Mega Construx™ Heroes: Masters of the Universe Collection (Recommended for Ages 10+)

A perfect stocking stuffer, these are actually on my personal holiday wish list. With an MSRP of just $4.99, these affordable, collectible figures bring characters from Mattel's iconic He-Man and the Masters of the Universe into the world of Mega Construx. The first two waves have brought forth He-Man, Teela, Skeletor and Beast Man. Additional characters are in the pipeline, so stay tuned. These are highly-poseable and work with other Mega Construx building sets. Do you have the skill to build Eternia?

Elephant Parade

Mega® Bloks Elephant Parade (Recommended for Ages 1-5)

The beauty of MEGA is that there's blocks for every age group, and really, it started with the younger crowd. Here kids can roll out adventure from trunk to tail when they build with a friendly elephant and a parade of colorful animal friends! Pull the elephant to make the building blocks spin inside the big, rolling tumbler. Then, open the tumbler and use the lid as a building plate to build a hippo, monkey, toucan and giraffe, matching each animal to the right color. Connect the animals together behind the elephant and pull them all along on their rolling wheelbases to create an animal parade! When the parade goes home for the day, cleanup is quick and easy when little ones store everything away inside the tumbler bin!

American Girl

Mega Construx™ American Girl Lea’s 2-in-1 Rainforest Sanctuary (Recommended for Ages 8+)

The Rock Daughters have quite a few of the Mega Construx American Girl sets - we've been buying them for over a year now, so it's always fun to see what new things can be built.  In this new set,  Lea (the 2016 American Girl of the Year) brings a Brazilian flair to things. The 2-in-1 Rainforest Sanctuary finds her meeting up with Camila to help protect Amazon wildlife. Kids can rebuild the Animal Sanctuary into an Animal Rescue, complete with nine cute animals to care for inside the vet center.

Mega Construx™ Pokémon Charizard (Recommended for Ages 8+)

Pokémon is a big deal, and in some ways 2017 has been a real renaissance year for the brand. With new games, an animated movie (and a live-action one starring Ryan Reynolds announced), and collectibles of every kind, Pokémon is everywhere - including the construction aisle!

From the awesome collection of Mega Construx™ Pokémon comes this new 198-piece Charizard set! Kids can blaze through the skies when by building one of the most iconic Pokémon of all time! With its powerful wings and flaming tail, Charizard stands ready for anything!

Mega Construx™ Despicable Me Collection: (Ideal for Ages 5+)

There's a lot of sets and characters available based on Universal Pictures and Illumination's Despicable Me franchise, and with the Minions recently roaming theaters in Despicable Me 3, they're fresh in kid's minds. From stocking stuffers like character blind bags to full-on building sets, there's something for every Despicable Me fan!

Mega Construx Minions

Mega Construx™ Mighty Morphin Megazord (DPK78)

The Power Rangers came blasting back into movie theaters this year, updating the legend for a new generation. At the same time, the yearly evolution of the Power Rangers continues on Nickelodeon, and ahead of the team’s 25th Anniversary Celebration next year, families can throw it back with this fantastic set.

Power Rangers

What’s fantastic about this set is that the CompatiBuild™ system makes it a quick build for younger builders, mixing the size of the blocks and incorporating bigger “MEGA Blocks™” pieces alongside the Mega Construx™ bricks. Taking cues from the iconic Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, this Megazord comes with a Red Ranger figure, and can be expanded by combining pieces from the T-Rex Zord and Sabertooth Tiger Zord (sold separately) to create a Super Megazord!

From kids to grownups, MEGA Bloks and MEGA Construx have sets for everyone. What will you build? Check out the latest and Build Beyond™ at MEGAConstrux.com!
