Last year at Blogger Bash in New York City, I got an early look at Sentiments' first Disney Pets Collection - a series of dog beds and bowls based around the iconic look of Mickey Mouse. Now comes word that the line was a success, and with that they're expanding line - and with Spider-Man: Homecoming hitting theaters this month, it's appropriate that their first foray into the Marvel realm is a collection aimed solely at canine fans of a certain NYC-based web-slinger. Can your dog (or cat) be a Disney or Marvel fan? I don't see why not...

When you think of images that capture the essence of a "classic Christmas," few are as iconic as a toy train running beneath the tree. Since 1900, Lionel Trains has been helping to bring the magic of toy trains to families, and for this season they've got something new - the Disney Mickey Mouse Express Ready-to-Play Train Set. This battery-powered, G-scale train is ready-to-rock right from the box - the only thing missing is batteries. It's a festive way to bring some Disney magic home. Check out the video below to see it in-action here at Rock Father HQ...

If you have little ones living in your house, there's a pretty good chance that Disney Junior's MICKEY MOUSE CLUBHOUSE has been regular viewing at some point or another. A series that no doubt improved over the years, Mickey and the gang roar into 31 Days of Halloween with their new DVD, MICKEY MOUSE CLUBHOUSE: MICKEY'S MONSTER MUSICAL. This fun new DVD is one that The Rock Daughters fully enjoy, but one that I really dig as well - being Halloween-obsessed and all!

When it comes to toys, the Kenner STAR WARS Luke Skywalker "Large Size" Action Figure from 1979 pretty much epitomizes the seventies. While Kenner pioneered the popular 3¾ action figures that became the standard - they were coming off an era where G.I. JOE, MEGO, and BARBIE's Ken reigned supreme in more of a "doll" kind of form. While this one was based on Mark Hamill's appearance as the young space farmer in 1977's STAR WARS, by 1983's RETURN OF THE JEDI, Luke was decked-out in all black and ready to rock. Fast-forward a few decades and even Mickey Mouse was busting out a Luke Skywalker cosplay, and that's what I've chosen to feature alongside today's entry into Hasbro's Force Friday Countdown Calendar as we move toward the September 4th release of toys from J.J. Abrams' STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS. I'm keeping it interesting...

2017 seems so far away, but the announcement of Disney Junior's MICKEY AND THE ROADSTER RACERS makes me hold some hope that my girls will into it when it arrives - a new series aimed at kids 2-7. Featuring stories told using a combination of CG animation and live action footage, MICKEY AND THE ROADSTER RACERS is "designed to impart social and emotional lessons about friendship, teamwork and good sportsmanship." If this show existed today? My Mickey-loving, car-loving kids (and the Mickey-loving little one in me) would be all over this. The high-octane announcement arrived today, along with some early test footage (viewable below) and full details on what looks light a fantastic replacement for the aging MICKEY MOUSE CLUBHOUSE...
