It's time to get back to Duckburg, as the new animated comedy adventure DuckTales officially has a premiere date! The revamped DuckTales will premiere in a one-hour television movie to be presented for 24 consecutive hours, SATURDAY, AUGUST 12 (beginning at midnight EDT/PDT), on Disney XD. Then, the series will debut with two new episodes SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 23 (7:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m., 8:00 p.m., 10:30 p.m. EDT/PDT). Each will also be available on the Disney XD app and Disney XD VOD on these same dates. And what's DuckTales without it's iconic theme song? Check out the opening title sequence below to hear it now!
Even though Disney XD's DuckTales hasn't even made it's season one debut, the series already has a season two pick-up, and now it's getting bigger. Multi-hyphenate entertainment badass Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hamilton, Moana, Mary Poppins Returns) has joined the series as Gizmoduck, "a Duckburg hero whose true identity is Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera, a brilliant young intern working for Scrooge McDuck's personal mad scientist, Gyro Gearloose."
Ready for a STAR WARS marathon? Disney XD is celebrating Star Wars Day! All episodes from the first season of "LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures" will air along with additional LEGO Star Wars specials for 24-hours straight on THURSDAY, MAY 4th, 2017!
Earlier today at Star Wars Celebration Orlando, fans were treated to the brand-new trailer for season four of Disney XD's Star Wars Rebels. As some had already been anticipating, the fourth season has been confirmed to be the final season - something that certainly saddens me, but hopefully means that the door will open for something else. As Star Wars Rebels keeps moving toward the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, we see the return of Saw Gerrera (Forest Whitaker) and the appearance of Rebel U-Wing Fighters, Imperial Death Troopers (recently glimpsed at the end of season 3) and more, as executive producer Dave Filoni delivered news of the show's must-see conclusion alongside the voice cast of the entire Ghost crew including Freddie Prinze Jr., Tiya Sircar, Taylor Gray, Vanessa Marshall and Steve Blum. Check out the trailer...
This Saturday, the crew of the Ghost have a new issue at hand when Chopper and AP-5 team up to infiltrate an Imperial station to steal needed codes. Thing is, an Imperial specialist turns the droids against the crew to cause chaos, and that's not good. Check out this preview of "Double Agent Droid," the next all-new episode of Star Wars Rebels, airing this SATURDAY, MARCH 11 (8:30 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney XD.
Star Wars Rebels is truly some fantastic storytelling, and a series that our whole family enjoys watching together each week. That said, I was excited when the news hit my inbox that production is underway on the fourth season of the acclaimed animated series from Lucasfilm. The fourth season is scheduled to premiere on Disney XD later this year continuing the thrilling and inspiring galactic adventures of the Ghost crew.
