When it comes to Industrial Music, I like mine best with a certain level of crunch to the guitars - where the sonic differences between and man (instrumentation) and machine (electronica) blend to just the right level. At some point in the mid-late 90s, that's when that style peaked - a time when I'd be cranking bands like 16 Volt, Sister Machine Gun, etc. One band I missed at the time was CIRCLE OF DUST, a project of Klayton, who later went onto CELLDWELLER fame. Now it's time to catch-up, as CIRCLE OF DUST is back, with their five original albums being reissued in bonus-heavy editions, one every eight weeks beginning March 4th, and it ends with a brand-new CoD album waiting at the end. With that announcement comes the first new music from CIRCLE OF DUST in nearly 20 years, "Contagion" - a song that perfectly captures that vintage vibe... a lot like FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY's MILLENNIUM, actually.

I distinctly remember sitting back in my seat on a Chicago-to-L.A. flight back in April of 2009, watching ADIOS... PUTA MADRES, the DVD companion to MINISTRY's 2008 C U LaTOUR - what was supposed to be the band's swan song. But, if the years have taught us anything, it's never say "never" when it comes to the sonic activities of Uncle Al Jourgensen and the gang. After all, 2007's THE LAST SUCKER was MINISTRY's "final" album, until 2012's RELAPSE and 2013's FROM BEER TO ETERNITY arrived. So here I sit, just five years past viewing the DVD of MINISTRY's "final" tour, and having in my possession what is now being touted as the "final live MINISTRY release," LAST TANGLE IN PARIS - a 1 DVD/2 CD combo pack featuring video from the band's 2012 DeFiBriLaTour, and music from the 2006 and 2008 incarnations of the band.

"You Let Me Violate You... You Let Me Desecrate You..." I never really thought of it this way before, but those words could describe being pooped on... or peed on, something I've experienced numerous times in my four-year career as The Rock Father. Actually, there's nothing quite like being woken up in the middle of the night surrounded by an ocean of pee (I hear there's some German videos where people really dig that) from a three-year-old that managed to sneak into the bed undetected and let loose. Alas, the crew at Roma Music Group has announced LULLABY VERSIONS OF NINE INCH NAILS for a July 30 release date, and today they've launched pre-orders. If you snag it on iTunes, you'll get "Closer" right away... and hey! You can stream the track below...

After making it's debut over at FEARnet earlier this month, the new video, "World of Silence" by CHAMBER OF ECHOES has been on a slow-burn rise. Just landing here at Rock Father HQ earlier this evening, the video can be viewed below...

MINISTRY is a band that just will not die. In fact, I believe that as long as there is AL JOURGENSEN, there will be MINISTRY. Despite "final tours" and the occasional "final album," MINISTRY somehow manages to rise again, morphing into slightly different incarnations with new personnel and new music. On September 6, 13th Planet Records will release the 13th studio album from MINISTRY, when FROM BEER TO ETERNITY hits retail. But a new album isn't all that the band has cooking... a new DVD and a Jourgensen biography are also on-deck. Check out the full announcement below, right here on The Rock Father...
