James Zahn is best-known as The Rock Father™, a media personality, commentator, adventurer and raconteur. He is the Owner, Publisher, and Editor-in-Chief of THE ROCK FATHER™ Magazine. In January, 2019, after nearly a decade of publishing The Rock Father™ Magazine, he joined Adventure Media and Events as Senior Editor of The Toy Book—the leading trade publication for the toy industry since 1984, as well as The Pop Insider — a destination for all things pop culture, and The Toy Insider — the leading consumer guide for toys and games. He is also editor of The Toy Report, a weekly newsletter published by The Toy Book each Thursday. Zahn has over 27 years of experience in the entertainment, retail and publishing industries.
He regularly serves as a Brand Ambassador and spokesperson for several Globally-recognized pop culture and lifestyle brands in addition to consulting for a number of toy manufacturers.

With a 28-month old running around here in The Rock Father™ house, we're always careful to keep danger as far away as possible, and a big part of that has been seeking out the best in all-natural products to use as a course of habit within our daily lives. Having already been a user of their ECOS Free & Clear Laundry Detergent (we buy it at Walmart), I was very excited when I was offered the opportunity to try some other items from EARTH FRIENDLY PRODUCTS.
I'm a little late to the SKYLANDERS party, but when I was asked to give the new cross-platform game from Activision a spin - I couldn't really resist. Geared toward kids a little older than mine (she's only 28-months), the SKYLANDERS: SPYRO'S ADVENTURE starter pack arrived here at The Rock Father™ house to be played with by the big kid - me.

If you've been reading this site for a bit, then you already know that Caillou and friends are a fixture here inThe Rock Father™ house - something that I also noted in my recent review of Famosa Toys' Caillou Treehouse. For those wondering the fate of the infamous toy, we still have it, though it continues breaking down piece by piece in under a month of play. I had my Dad send me the Toys R Us receipt in case we decided to return it, but we just can't bear to take it away from the little one. Junk or not, she loves it. But now we have another problem, this time with the Caillou ''Classic'' 14.5 inch doll. Who made this one? Famosa Toys, of course. For whatever reason, the Spanish toymaker just can't seem to get their Caillou products right.
As a child of the 1980's, a trip to SHOWBIZ PIZZA PLACE was an event - a momentous occasion that was saved for birthday celebrations and other rare gatherings that warranted more than a simple meal. The Matteson, Illinois, ShowBiz was the one that I'd occasionally be treated to (along with the short-lived, similarly-themed, CELEBRATION STATION in Park Forest, IL), and what made the trip even better was the fact that ShowBiz was conveniently located directly next door to TOYS R US.
