gnr125By now, you've no doubt seen the news that GUNS N' ROSES would be headlining the annual COACHELLA Music & Arts Festival - something 100% confirmed when all the related social media accounts posted the full lineup and GNR-centric artwork yesterday. What we didn't have was confirmation on exactly who would be in the 2016 GUNS N' ROSES lineup, and technically - we still don't know the entire thing. What we do know is that AXL ROSE, SLASH and DUFF McKAGAN are together again, and the official press release hit my inbox earlier this evening. Here's what they sent out...

Not long ago I posted a preview of "Sweet Child O' Mine" here on The Rock Father, and today the folks at Roma Music Group have officially released LULLABY VERSIONS OF GUNS N' ROSES. It's not the first time that the original, pre-CHINESE DEMOCRACY version of GN'R has been lullabied, but this new collection features 13 classics reworked into "lullabies for all ages" -- but they're best-suited for your little rocker's nursery. The 114th(!) release in the Twinkle Twinkle Little Rock Star line is available now on iTunes and other digital music retailers. You know who has a real "APPETITE FOR DESTRUCTION"? Toddlers.

The folks at Roma Music Group have announced another new addition to their popular and ever-growing collection of Twinkle Twinkle Little Rock Star titles: LULLABY VERSIONS OF GUNS N' ROSES. It's not the first time that Guns' has received the lullaby treatment (I have an earlier collection here at Rock Father HQ), but this new collection transforms 13 classic (pre-CHINESE DEMOCRACY) G N' R tunes into nursery-friendly melodies for your baby. Check out a preview of "Sweet Child O' Mine" below, and look for the album to hit digital retailers on April 30, 2013.

This is all stuff that has landed in The Rock Father's inbox over the past few days, and I want to cover as much of it as possible. Like what you see? Links are provided to learn more. Let's go...

It's time for another installment of The Random Rock N' More - the column where the ''...For Grown-ups'' section of The Rock Father get's homepage placement. Below the break you'll find rapid-fire updates on over 25 bands and artists - that aren't neccessarily 'family friendly.' Check out these bite-sized nuggets of knowledge and hit the enclosed links for more. This marks a trial of a more colorful version of The Random Rock, adding some visual enhancements (one album cover) instead of a plain list. BTW - When I say 'Random Rock' - that means you're getting metal, radio rock, thrash, punk, mainstream, black metal, indie, all corners of rock. Let's do this!

The BLACK SABBATH camp just sent the following news to The Rock Father™:

--who late last year confirmed the recording of their first new album in more than 33 years and a worldwide headlining tour--have had to put some plans on hold due to Tony Iommi’s battle with lymphoma. At this time, BLACK SABBATH will perform only one show of this summer’s previously scheduled European tour. It will take place Sunday, June 10 at the U.K.’s Download Festival.
