After busting out trailers for WONDER WOMAN and JUSTICE LEAGUE, the folks at Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment added a third piece to their SDCC mix with their SUICIDE SQUAD Official Comic-Con Soundtrack Remix - a 3+ minute series of clips from the upcoming film set to a trio of songs from SUICIDE SQUAD: THE ALBUM. Check out the action below featuring "Heathens" by TWENTY ONE PILOTS, "Purple Lamborghini" by SKRILLEX & RICK ROSS and "Sucker For Pain" by LIL WAYNE, WIZ KHALIFA, IMAGINE DRAGON, LOGIC and TY DOLLA $IGN (featuring X AMBASSADORS). Bot the film and album will arrive on August 5, 2016.

#TRANSFORMERSweekIMAGINE DRAGONS recently scored the coveted duty of providing the lead single from the soundtrack to Michael Bay's TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION with their "Battle Cry" (Amazon | iTunes). Now, the band has made their first visit to Hong Kong a good one - performing a full concert at the premiere of the film amidst thousands of fans, and beneath the glowing skyline highlighted by a statue of Autobot leader, OPTIMUS PRIME. Watch the full performance from atop the Ocean Terminal Rooftop Car Park, along with appearances by actors Mark Wahlberg and Nicola Peltz, below...

When it comes to lullabies, there is no company more prolific than Roma Music Group and their TWINKLE TWINKLE LITTLE ROCK STAR series. They've released over 160 albums worth of baby-friendly jams for the nursery, each re-working a popular artist (or a collection of them) into "lush instrumental" versions. While we've just reached the halfway point of 2014, they've just released LULLABY HITS OF 2014 (Amazon | iTunes), which I'd sorta venture is probably "Volume 1," and by year's end a sequel will be released - just a hunch. But if you're looking for something a little different for your baby's sonic indulgence, check this out...

The 56th GRAMMY Awards airs tonight at 8pm/7c on CBS, and if predictions are your thing, you might be interested to know what Spotify thinks of tonight's field. While I'm of the mindset that the GRAMMYS are still vastly out-of-touch and largely unimportant (they good straighten out, but choose not to), it's still fun to take a stab at what the GRAMMY voters have picked. Utilizing stream data from their user base, the Spotify team has issued their picks in some key categories, this coming after correctly predicting the Record of the Year and Album of the Year wins in 2013. Check out their 2014 picks and notes below...

As we close the books on 2013, it's only appropriate that I feature this latest mashup from DJ Earworm. Having started his annual UNITED STATE OF POP series several years ago (2007, I think), they've become a tradition in recapping a full year's worth of pop hits in one masterful mashup.  "United State of Pop 2013 (Living the Fantasy)" was released earlier this month and features 25 of the year's biggest hits, all worked into one mix, complete with a video. It's "clean," too, which makes it family-friendly. Check it out below...

It's been a busy week for The Rock Father™, hence my keeping up with all the music news hitting my inbox has been slower than usual. I've been working on a 'secret' project for one of my favorite bands  (I'll blog about it sooner or later) since last week, so it's time for some catching up here on the site - another edition of The Random Rock N' More. This is the column where I blast through updates on tons of artists from the rock world (everything from indie and folk to thrash, black metal, and pop fare), then drop in the "N' More" for some non-rock musical goodness to expand those musical horizons. Each update comes with a link to learn more. That said, here's the updates for Saturday, April 7, 2012. Be careful tonight, folks - rumor has it that a man-sized rabbit might be on the loose.
