Quantcast

I get hit with so much music news here at Rock Father HQ that there's barely any way to cover it - much less a lot of it. That's why I'm going to make an effort to get my old "Random Rock" column happening on a more frequent basis again. The deal is simple - I'll start off with a stream or video to enjoy while reading, followed by a list of quick news items from around the music world (though likely with a "rock" focus). If you'd like to know more about a story, a link will be provided to do so.  Here we go...

After dipping into the R&B/Pop realm the past couple of weeks with releases dedicated to ALICIA KEYS and RIHANNA, the folks at Twinkle Twinkle Little Rock Star have swung back around to the rock this week for LULLABY VERSIONS OF BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE (get it now on iTunes). This new collection takes a dozen hits and fan favorites from the Welsh metallers and reworks them into "lush intrumental versions" perfect for your baby's nursery. Check out the full tracklisting and cover art below, along with a stream of "Tears Don't Fall" as originally heard on BFMV's 2005/06 release, THE POISON.

BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE - FEVER (Review)

41QAQL1zn2L. SL160 Although the album has been out for a couple of weeks now, a copy of FEVER just arrived on my desk this past week. I have to be honest and admit that I'd not been very familiar with BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE in the past. Aside from hearing a few tracks here and there, I'd never picked up a BFMV album. In fact, the thing I remember most about the band is their "war of words" with ROB ZOMBIE back in 2006. Ultimately, there was no real reason why I'd not delved into their back catalog, but based on what I've been spinning in constant rotation the past few days, that will change.
