As I sit in my office working tonight, I can hear the GRAMMY telecast faintly emitting from the TV in the family room. I have no idea what's happening, but I do know that the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences got two things right tonight - GHOST took home their first GRAMMY, winning "Best Metal Performance" with "Cirice"; and Tim Kubart snagged his first statue as well, winning "Best Children's Album" with HOME. Sure, it's two completely opposite ends of the spectrum, but they're the ones I ride most! On one hand, you have a host of Sprout's SUNNY SIDE UP SHOW, and on the other... the act that's brought The Dark Lord back to the pop charts in a way we haven't seen in years. It's a win-win.

While I don't have a statement from GHOST (aside from an email alerting me to the win), Kubart has posted video of his acceptance speech...

Here's the video of the moment. Love to every single one of you and every single person whose help and support these past 10 years made this possible.

Now, let's start thinking about The 59th GRAMMYS in 2017, shall we? "Best Metal Performance" should certainly go to PRODUCT OF HATE for their Napalm Records debut, BURIED IN VIOLENCE... I am a tad partial.
