We took The Rock Daughters to Woodfield Mall for an Easter adventure this past weekend, taking part in the Simon Kidgits Eggstravaganza, where the little ones were able to take part in a variety of fun activities and crafts. There was a Bunny Hop Sack Race, Hopscotch, Bean Bag Toss, a Cookie Decorating Station, Easter Mask-making and more. The highlight, of course, was the annual meeting with the Bunny himself, and this year's set is really nice - springtime magic with a little bit of urban flair.
On any visit to Woodfield, some time in the play area is a must, with both girls making new friends (as always) and taking part in some epic games of hide-and-seek.
After stops at The Disney Store and The LEGO Store, we opted for a late lunch at Kinfork, one of Woodfield's latest dining options, and one that made fast-fans of our family, serving-up American-style food in a sorta-upscale BBQ & Moonshine environment. Great hushpuppies, and they had a kid's menu that our kids actually ate. You'd think chicken strips and grilled cheese would be pretty basic, but a lot of places get it wrong - Kinfork got it right, and my brisket and my wife's pesto were excellent.
The Bunny Photo Experience at Woodfield Mall runs through Saturday, March 26, 2016. Visits with the Easter bunny are complimentary; professional photo packages are available for purchase. Save time and avoid the line with Bunny by Appointment! Now you can reserve your magical moment with Bunny online, for a $10 fee, which will be used toward the purchase of any Easter photo package.
