After a huge response this past November, WWE is again going to offer a FREE month of WWE Network to new subscribers during February. The announcement comes in the lead-up to WrestleMania 31, which will take place on Sunday, March 29. During the month of February, subscribers will have access to all of WWE Network’s programming including a live podcast hosted by Stone Cold Steve Austin this Monday, February 2 featuring Triple H and the all-new, live pay-per-view event WWE FAST LANE on Sunday, February 22.
This week, WWE and First Book formally announced the launch of their 2015 WrestleMania Reading Challenge, giving students ages 4-18 the chance to win a trip to WrestleMania 31 on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at the new Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.
Now through Sunday, February 22, students can register for the WrestleMania Reading Challenge at WWEReadingSuperstar.com. Through WWE’s partnership with First Book’s digital reading initiative, We Give Books, children between the ages of 4-12 can select a WWE Superstar Reading Buddy and read digital books to participate, while teens ages 13-18 can select a WWE Superstar Pen Pal, read a book and write an essay.
Out of all the adventures that I've had this year (and there have been many), one of my favorites was the trip I took to the Vancouver set of JINGLE ALL THE WAY 2 back in March. When word came down that Twentieth Century Fox and WWE Studios were doing a follow-up to The Greatest Holiday Film of All-Time (the 1996 classic JINGLE ALL THE WAY), I was in. Little did I know that I'd have a chance to actually spend some time on-set with Larry the Cable Guy, WWE Superstar Santino Marella and Director Alex Zamm. With the film now available on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD ahead of it's World Television Premiere on the USA Network this Sunday as part of WWE Week, I'm sharing a few more stories from the set (read Part I of my set coverage here) along with some photos of some Jingle-themed activities we did at a family Christmas party last weekend. Ready to Jingle?
Last month, WWE announced that SmackDown was moving back to Thursday nights on Syfy beginning January 15th at 8pm ET. Now, a new video has rolled-out to help remind fans what's up as the second longest-running weekly episodic program in U.S. television history (only behind WWE’s other flagship program, Monday Night Raw) gets ready to shift it's schedule. Have you ever taken a Rorschach test? I took one in elementary school once, but the reason I ask is that these WWE Superstars and Divas just took one...
It's WWE Week on the USA Network, with special programming each and every night beginning tonight with MONDAY NIGHT RAW. The action continues with Super SmackDown Live, the 12th Annual TRIBUTE TO THE TROOPS and select movies featuring WWE Superstars, including the brand-new Holiday film JINGLE ALL THE WAY 2 starring Larry the Cable Guy and Santino Marella airing on Sunday, December 21 (more on that one here).
For some it's A CHRISTMAS STORY. For others, IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE or WHITE CHRISTMAS. For me, the undisputed greatest Holiday film of all-time is the 1996 Christmas classic, JINGLE ALL THE WAY - a film that I've mentioned in nearly 30 articles on this site alone. The reasons behind my affection for the film are many (a "perfect storm" of elements), so when the news arrived that Twentieth Century Fox and WWE Studios were going into production on a belated sequel, I covered the announcement with cautious optimism. For me, the thought of a JINGLE ALL THE WAY 2 was akin to messing with the legacy of what I'd argue to be the CITIZEN KANE of Christmas films, so when the out-of-nowhere opportunity to visit the Vancouver set came along, I couldn't pass it up. In March, I found myself standing alongside Larry the Cable Guy, WWE Superstar Santino Marella and director Alex Zamm (THE LITTLE RASCALS SAVE THE DAY) on the set of JINGLE ALL THE WAY 2. Thousands of miles from Rock Father HQ, I was back inside a world of movie magic that I'd been missing - a member of the FHE Insiders crew.
