Available in several scales, the new Hollywood Rides collection will feature iconic vehicles like the GHOSTBUSTERS' Ecto-1, the BACK TO THE FUTURE DeLorean Time Machine, THE BLUES BROTHERS' Bluesmobile, an assortment of vehicles from TRANSFORMERS (non-transforming) and Disney•Pixar CARS, but if you want to hook me, KNIGHT RIDER always does it. I had a chance to hold a hand-sample prototype of what will eventually become K.I.T.T. alongside a Michael Knight (David Hasselhoff) figure, but there's also something else. While all of these vehicles have been done by other makers in years past (Mattel has done some in Hot Wheels form, while Greenlight Collectibles is also big in the space), Nano Hollywood Rides will bring these cinematic icons into the micro-scale for the very first time... and they'll all be diecast. I held a few and they were like Micro Machines, but with some weight to them. Overall, very cool, and I look forward to going hands-on with a lot of new Jada product in the months ahead. Stay tuned!

It's never fun to do a reveal that doesn't genuinely show the goods, but sometimes things just aren't quite ready yet. At Toy Fair there's always a lot of in-development product that's "pending licensor approval," and for some companies that means showing it privately, but not allowing pictures to get out there. The folks at Jada Toys have some fantastic offerings on the way, serving up new toys for kids and collectors alike, but unfortunately most of them are not ready to be seen. From new additions to their growing Nano Metalfigs line to all-new collections like a diecast line for girls (complete with licenses like Nickelodeon's Sunny Day) and expansion of their long-running Fast & Furious and supercar/tuners assortments, I'll be sharing much more very soon. For right now, though - there's one line in particular that really hit the sweet spot for me, and one property that really pushed it over the top. Hollywood Rides + KNIGHT RIDER? I'm in!
