The Step2 Crayola Crayon Rider: A Modern Spin on a Classic Toy

Step2An extraordinarily simple, yet modern spin on a classic toy, the Step2 Crayola Crayon Rider arrived here at Rock Father HQ back in April as part of my gig as a Step2 Brand Ambassador.

Combining the free-wheeling features of the classic ride-ons (usually a motorcycle or horse) with the iconic shape of the Crayola Crayons that we all have dozens of around the house, this ride-on is a ton of fun indoors and out.

Durable, with quick assembly (less than five minutes, hammer required), Little Finley has been rockin' this ride almost daily since the Spring, and now into Summer. The only problem we have comes not from the toy (which is perfect), but from the fact that Finn has become quite the daredevil. As with any two-year-old, she needs constant supervision, but with this it needs to be extremely hands-on... as our driveway can be quite the take-off ramp. While she's pictured in the video above sailing sans helmet a few times (just as I would've done 30+ years ago), I've really had to reel her in a bit.
