By now you probably know that we're big fans of RUUM American Kid's Wear, and if you follow any of The Rock Father social networks, you may have even seen my daughters rockin' some RUUM fashions over the past few months. We just did our Holiday Shopping Trip to get the little ones some new outfits for the upcoming season, and now it's your turn. RUUM and THE ROCK FATHER are giving readers a chance to score a $25 Gift Card to help jump-start your Holiday shopping. It's good at any of their stores, or online at RUUM.com.
There's a ton of lighted bedtime friends on the market these days, and one of our favorites first arrived here at Rock Father HQ back in May. BROBO is a line of super-cuddly nightlights that make up the "Shine Force" - a collection of five fun characters, each with their own Shine Force light. Placed on their chest, the light recalls a bit of Tony Stark technology - like Iron Man's Arc Reactor. Swipe the hand or tail of your favorite character over their chest, and the light illuminates (and vibrates). Swipe again to dim it, or once more to turn it off. We have "Pep" and "Dog" here, and the girls love them, thus securing them a place here in my 2013 Holiday Gift Guide on The Rock Father.
From Toy State comes the Road Rippers Lightning Blast Collection, a selection of free-wheeling vehicles that pack lights and sound into a small package. With a suggested retail of $6.99, that makes the Lightning Blast a great Stocking Stuffer and a quick addition to my 2013 Holiday Gift Guide here on The Rock Father.
Even before becoming a PBS KIDS VIP (Very Involved Parent) Blogger in 2013, the entertaining and educational programming offered by PBS KIDS was already a daily staple here in our home. From CAILLOU to CURIOUS GEORGE, DINOSAUR TRAIN to SESAME STREET, there's a lot of great shows and specials that are now available to view anytime on DVD. They're great gifts, and perfect stocking stuffers, and that lands them firmly in my 2013 Holiday Gift Guide here on THE ROCK FATHER...
I had a stunning wake-up call this evening when I stopped by the local big box for milk and dog food: There's less than 35 days until X-mas. In my head, I tried assuring myself that the sign was wrong, but despite being full-immersed in holiday culture for weeks already, it's true. 34 days and change as I type this. What always comes up is those "hard-to-buy-for" kids (like mine), and one thing that's a great gift idea is personalized clothing - like the assortment available from Bright Star Kids.
I tend to be really into organization, which is sometimes surprising given the regular condition of things such as... my garage, for example. Back when I was really into things like building a library of movies and music in physical form, everything needed to be perfect at all times, broken into category, and properly alphabetized. While that's not really a thing for me anymore, I still get hit by the organizational bug, and with the holidays here certain things need to be done... especially the ones that have been getting let go because of my on-the-go lifestyle as The Rock Father - chasing two little girls all day. Brother sent me their new P-touch PT-H100 label maker, and I've started getting down to business. First up: The Pantry.
