With Walt Disney Studios' Christopher Robin headed for theaters on August 3 (see the latest trailer here), the folks over at Funko are giving some characters from the film a Pop! Vinyl treatment. For the first wave, they're bringing Winnie the Pooh, Tigger and Eeyore into the format, capturing the cinematic look, which itself is inspired both by Classic Pooh and Disney's previous designs on the animated versions. All of these are available for pre-order now from my friends at Entertainment Earth, while a special edition flocked Pooh Bear with a red balloon is available exclusively at Box Lunch stores.

Later this month, I will be back on the ground in Los Angeles, working alongside my friends at Walt Disney Studios for the launch of their new film, Christopher Robin. Today, tickets for the film went on-sale (get 'em via my affiliate, Fandango) and families will get their first look into the Hundred Acre Wood on the night of August 2, for preview showings ahead of its August 3 release. As those tickets went on-sale, Disney also just released a new "Adventure" sneak-peek and an all-new featurette about the legacy of the famous characters created by A.A. Milne and E.H. Shepard. Take a look!

I will preface this by saying that I have an overwhelming love for Winnie the Pooh. Our oldest daughter's first nursery (we were in an apartment before moving into our house) was decked-out in "Classic Pooh," and her all-time favorite and most cherished toy is a plush "Poopsie Bear." While I loved Pooh as a child, as a parent I will always have fond memories of sharing the Disney Winnie the Pooh tales with our girls, and this summer a new one will hit theaters. Christopher Robin is a live-action film that will open the world of The Hundred Acre Wood as characters from that world enter ours. See the teaser below...

Sitting down for a chat in the stylish confines of the W Hotel in Los Angeles, Filmmakers Don Hall and Chris Williams are pretty laid-back as they settle-in to talk about their latest effort, BIG HERO 6. The Co-Directing duo of Walt Disney Animation Studios' 54th feature film have much to be excited about, with the press days for the in-home release of BIG HERO 6 coming on the eve of the 87th Academy Awards - a ceremony for which they will enter as nominees, as BIG HERO 6 stares down some steep competition for "Best Animated Feature"- a category that Disney and it's various arms (including Pixar) has dominated in recent years. Should Hall and Williams (along with Producer Roy Conli) take home the gold, BIG HERO 6 will continue the massive roll that started with FROZEN in 2013, and just found the film overtaking BEAUTY AND THE BEAST to become Disney's third-most-successful domestic performer, with only THE LION KING and FROZEN before it. Like all great adventures, the big-screen presentation of BIG HERO 6 started off with some pretty humble beginnings...
