Over the past few years, Jada Toys has really been upping their game - slowly gaining space in the diecast aisle with some highly-detailed toy vehicles that are spread across a variety of licenses. In fact, the diecast category is a rare space in which you can find multiple licensees producing toys based on a shared property, with each company able to put their own spin on things. Marvel is a unique challenge in that the majority of heroes don't have (or need) a vehicle, and for the ones that do, it's generally Mattel's Hot Wheels line that brings them to life in the 1:64-scale. Still, there's a lot of room for creativity and other scales, and that's where Jada has come in, adding a few Marvel "inspired" vehicles to their 1:24-scale Hollywood Rides collection. Aimed at kids and collectors ages 8 and up (aside from Deadpool, who bears a 14+ mark), this new assortment presents some beautifully-designed, expertly-crafted vehicles that will appeal to a wide range of fans spanning comics and car culture. Plus, each ride comes with a diecast figure packed-in.

While you won't find me at New York Comic-Con (NYCC) this weekend, you can certainly find some awesome toys and collectibles being offered by my friends at Funko and Entertainment Earth. One very much-anticipated item is the Funko / Entertainment Earth Convention Exclusive Classic Spider-Woman Pop! Vinyl Figure. First announced on the official Funko blog last month, Spider-Woman joins the Funko family TODAY and is available in super-limited quantities only at Funko's booth at New York Comic-Con or online through Entertainment Earth! These are in the EE warehouse and ready to ship next week, and although I'm not at NYCC, somehow Spider-Woman made her way to me. Check out this first hands-on look!

How many Spider-People are out there? That's the question put forth in the new trailer for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, the new animated film from Sony Pictures Animation and Marvel. For those unfamiliar with the storyline beyond the usual "Peter Parker is Spider-Man" routine, there's long-been other tales about other people putting on the mask - something that extends throughout the multi-verse (other dimensions). In this new film, audiences will see many of these legendary Spider-folk come together on the big screen for the very first time. Check it out below!

This Christmas, Marvel and Sony Pictures Animation will enter a new dimension with the release of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Of course, that does mean that the folks at Hasbro will be swinging into retail with a full assortment of new toys based on the animated feature. The details from Hasbro just arrived here at Rock Father HQ, and I've got all of them below. Everything from this collection should be available at major retailers and at HasbroToyShop.com. One of the most interesting pieces in the bunch is a "Countdown Calendar" - essentially an advent calendar that presents kids with a new toy each day leading up to the theatrical release of the movie. Check these out!

This is one of those things that can make certain members of the general public that are casual fans of things a little bit confused. More than one person has been Spider-Man, which means that the traditional story of Peter Parker sometimes gets thrown out the window. There's a storyline that's appeared in comics in which there have been many variations on Spider-Man (and not just "man"), perhaps most famously when a kid named Miles Morales dons the mask. This Christmas, that comes to the big screen in the animated film, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse," which comes to life from Sony Pictures Animation. Check out the new trailer and full details below!

It's been more than a decade since we saw Venom appear on-screen as a villain in Spider-Man 3, but now times have changed and the character is getting his own chance to shine in a feature of his own. Tom Hardy becomes the latest actor to make the jump from DC (as Bane) to Marvel as Eddie Brock when VENOM hits the big screen this October. Today the first teaser for the film has arrived, complete with a very short synopsis...  "One of Marvel's most enigmatic, complex and badass characters comes to the big screen, starring Academy Award® nominated actor Tom Hardy as the lethal protector Venom." A badass character performed by a badass actor. See it below...
