This weekend, the 13th annual Chicago Toy and Game Fair (ChiTAG) returns to Navy Pier in Chicago for two days of fun, Saturday, November 21, 2015 and Sunday, November 22, 2015. Having covered ChiTAG extensively here on THE ROCK FATHER Magazine for the past four years of its run, I've taken a look at this year's schedule and floor plan to highlight five things that we're looking forward to this weekend. With hundreds of participants, there's some familiar faces and some fresh ones that will be exhibiting some of 2015's hottest toys and games (several of which are in my 2015 Holiday Wish Guide), appropriately just ahead of Thanksgiving Week and the infamous Black Friday shopping kick-off. Here's a few things to check out... and yes, there will be STAR WARS.

For the past 12 years, the Chicago Toy & Game Fair has been presenting families with the largest event of it's kind in the U.S. that's actually open to the public - a chance to test out and buy some of this year's hottest toys and games to kick-off the holiday season, all while meeting and mingling with the folks that actually create and make the things we play with. This will be my third year covering ChiTAG on THE ROCK FATHER (Read: 2013, 2012), and with the show taking place at the end of next week, the excitement is building. While Optimus Prime is known for telling the Autobots to "Roll Out!," Hasbro is rolling into ChiTAG with one of the stars of this summer's TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION - the bright yellow Chevrolet Camaro known to kids and grownups alike as BUMBLEBEE. But that's just one of the many cool goings-on set to take place at Navy Pier, and I've got the run-down for you below, along with discount coupons and a chance to WIN TICKETS to the show!

When I arrived back here at Rock Father HQ late Saturday night, I was beat-tired from a day that started at 5:30am, and found my family in Chicago by 8, out in the Western 'Burbs in the afternoon, and back up North just in-time for SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE (which underwhelmed). After getting things started at the playCHIC Fashion Show on Thursday night, the Chicago Toy & Game Fair - the largest event of it's kind in the U.S. that's open to the public - welcomed families this weekend, and despite my fatigue, I was tempted to share some thoughts right away when we got home. The one thing that actually made me decide to do the sensible thing and go to bed before midnight (probably the first time that's happened in nearly a year) was the fact that a lot of folks who might want to read those thoughts were probably still at the ChiTagFair, and I'd already been all over the social nets with live posts. That said, it was a great event this year - my second (read about last year) - and unlike last, I actually had my little ones with me this time around.

Last year, one of the best events I had a chance to attend was the Chicago Toy & Game Fair (read my report here). For 2013, ChiTag is back for it's 11th Annual event, taking place November 23-24 at Navy Pier, right at the heart of Chicago's beautiful lakefront. It's the only public event of it's kind, allowing kids and grownups of all-ages to get a peek and play with some of the hottest upcoming toys and games, all while taking part in special events and shopping at the same time. The Rock Father and ChiTag have teamed-up to get six lucky families hooked-up with weekend passes to the show, one per week leading up to the big event. Want to join us at Navy Pier?
