The return of MADBALLS has been a big hit for the folks at Just Play, and with Series 1 (reviewed here) flying off of store shelves, kids and collectors have been eager to learn more about Series 2. In fact, we just cracked a box of MadBalls Blind Bags on YouTube Live (see it here), and the kids were immediately wondering, "where's the rest?" Well, as New York Toy Fair gets underway, my friends at Just Play have partnered with The Rock Father to give you a first-look at some of the new characters that will be hitting stores this Fall! There's new 3" Foam Balls, plus a new assortment of Blind Packs - including new characters and grotesque Mix-Ups! Details and photo gallery below!

By now, you probably know that my affection for the 1980s runs deep, hence the return of MADBALLS was a welcome one. I reviewed the Series 1 batch of Just Play's 2017 Madballs here on the site, and now there's a chance for YOU to share in the gross-out fun! Join The Toy Insider this Friday, February 10, 2017 from 11am-12pm ET for the #Madballs Twitter Party! Click here to RSVP!

When I was a kid, it was always interesting to hear how much the grownups of the day referenced the 1950s, and to a lesser extent, the 1960s. As a parent of this generation, I find myself constantly referencing the 1980s, and I don't know if it's all a part of the "Back in my day..." cycle, or if that decade just really was perfect when it came to pop culture and toys. Joining the multitude of icons that have returned, Madballs are back for another round this year, relaunched and ready to win the masses with their gross-out fun.

The crew at Lion Forge down in St. Louis has been doing some great and fun things. In the past year, they've brought back some killer properties like KNIGHT RIDER, MIAMI VICE, AIRWOLF, SAVED BY THE BELL and PUNKY BREWSTER - in comic book form. So how do they kick off year two? They'll be doing that at the New York Comic Con at the Jacob K. Javits Center next week, unveiling a lineup that includes a new spin on MADBALLS, and a new title about late WWE great Andre the Giant.
