The surprise reveal of Disney TOYBOX Action Figures in the fall of 2017 quickly became one of the most popular articles of that timeframe. Based on artwork and assets from the now-shuttered Disney INFINITY video game, the Disney TOYBOX line brings to life characters from across the Disney family, including those from Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars. The new figures feature animated styling, 14 points of articulation, and a signature accessory. With the first wave very well-received, many have wondered what's next for the line, and now we have some answers! Presented here on The Rock Father™ Magazine is The Ultimate Disney TOYBOX Checklist - an up-to-date list of the latest confirmed figures for this exciting new line. We'll be updating this indefinitely as new figures join the fold. Disney TOYBOX action figures are available exclusively through ShopDisney.com (an affiliate of this site) and Disney Store locations.
Updated 10/30/2017: Disney Store TOYBOX Action Figures are a new line of toys that include characters from STAR WARS, MARVEL and PIXAR. Each figure features 14-points of articulation, with the launch coming on November 3. The figures will retail for $12.95 US/$15.95 CAN. More updates follow the original article below!
Earlier this morning, visitors to the ShopDisney website (an affiliate) started seeing an advertisement for something interesting on the "New" page. Disney Store's TOYBOX action figures are touted as making their debut in-store and online on Friday, November 3, 2017. "Get ready to interact with PIXAR, Star Wars and Marvel characters like never before," it says. With no formal announcement yet, what's particularly notable is that the two figures featured are of Rey and a First Order Stormtrooper from Star Wars: The Last Jedi... but that they're styled almost exactly like their video game counterparts where in the long-shuttered Disney Infinity. Here at our house, the figures from that game are still in-use, and just yesterday our youngest daughter was playing with the Star Wars ones. There's a huge appeal in those designs.
It has begun... FORCE FRIDAY II officially kicked off at 12:01am this morning, with STAR WARS fans on the East Coast being among the first to purchase new merchandise from Rian Johnson's upcoming film, STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI. The Disney Store in NYC was first to welcome a line hundreds long, starting a wave that's moved coast-to-coast this morning with midnight openings and events at retailers such as Toys "R" Us, Walmart, Target, Meijer and more. This year's Force Friday is actually a weekend event running September 1-3, 2017 with events planned at many locations. Check out StarWars.com/FindTheForce for full details.

One of the most inspiring new series' for kids to emerge in the past year is Disney's Elena of Avalor. The first Latin-inspired Disney Princess was an immediate hit, quickly becoming a fixture at Disney Parks, and becoming one of Disney Channel's most-watched animated shows. After being held captive in the Amulet of Avalor for over four decades, Elena was freed by Sofia the First and has returned to her kingdom as a brave and adventurous teenager who must now learn to rule as crown princess until she is old enough to be queen. As kids follow Elena's journey, they see the adventure unfold as she learns her to understand that her new role requires thoughtfulness, resilience and compassion, the traits of all truly great leaders. With Elena of Avalor: Ready to Rule now available on DVD, here's a look at some great gift ideas as part of my 2016 Holiday Wish Guide!
We're truly living in a Golden Age of children's television, and while there's many great programming options for kids that provide valuable lessons for families, few will likely establish the kind of long-term lasting impact that Doc McStuffins has. I've written about the series many times over the past four years, and now, with its latest iteration - Doc McStuffins: Toy Hospital - making a splash on Disney Junior, there's new adventures to be had on-screen and off. The series has inspired a generation, and our oldest daughter is a prime example - a seven-year-old who wishes to become a doctor and has taken what she's learned from little Dottie McStuffins and her friends, and has applied it to other areas of play. She wants to help people, and know the "how and why" to the way things are. For my 2016 Holiday Wish Guide™, I'm showing you the best of the latest Doc McStuffins toys - hand-picked by The Rock Daughters™
