With Walt Disney Animation Studios' Ralph Breaks the Internet now in theaters, it's time to take a look at what will no-doubt be some very wished-for items that kids will be looking for this holiday season. I'm talking of course, about the toys - and from Bandai America comes a full assortment of fantastic toys featuring Wreck-It Ralph, Vanellope von Schweetz and many of their on-screen friends. As I began putting this feature together, my friends at Entertainment Earth sent over the Wave One Action Figures and the Slaughter Race Vehicle for some hands-on time in The Toy Testing Facility at Rock Father™ HQ. All official Holiday Wish Guide™ picks, let's take a look at those and more!

Ralph Breaks the Internet Action Figures

Ralph Breaks the Internet Wave One Action Figures:

For the first batch of basic action figures (which range from around 3"-6" in height), Bandai issued the basic characters - Wreck-It Ralph (voiced by John C. Reilly in the film), Vanellope von Schweetz (Sarah Silverman), Fix-It Felix, Jr. (Jack McBrayer) and Sergeant Calhoun (Jane Lynch). Aside from Ralph (who's essentially twice the size of the other figures), each character comes with a companion - an "avatar" that represents an internet user in Ralph Breaks the Internet. The basic idea is that when an everyday person like you or I logs onto the internet, we're represented by a temporary avatar that has a square head, tiny body and an "action" above their head. The toy version features swappable parts so that kids can mix-and-match expressions, hair and those emotive actions (things like a heart, thumbs-up, etc.)

The detail here is pretty good, and above all the figures are fun with an average of 3-5 points of articulation on each. While Disney and action figure collectors will like these, they're meant to be played with, and with that they're durable for lots of hands-on adventure! Wave Two is set to include new characters like Shank (Gal Gadot) and Yesss (Taraji P. Henson).

Slaughter Race Vehicle

It's no spoiler to say that Slaughter Race is a very different type of game than what Vanellope is used to in Sugar Rush, and this sleek cruiser is a whole lot more than her old Candy Kart! Scaled to work with the basic action figures, this ride includes an exclusive version of Vanellope (complete with shades) and special seating that allows both she and Ralph to fit comfortably.

With battery-operated racing sounds, an ejection seat and a hidden, pop-out truck-mounted dual rocket launcher, our heroes should have no problem taking on the competition!

Even More Ralph Breaks the Internet Fun:

For kids looking for bigger figures or fashion dolls, Bandai also has the new 11" Yesss Fashion Doll (which can change fashions repeatedly, like she does in the movie), large-scale talking Ralph and Vanellope dolls, and more
