Toy Review: Playmobil DreamWorks DRAGONS Hiccup & Toothless

Written by

wishguide125My love of Playmobil runs deep - a toy line that I didn't personally have as a child, but one that I've long-admired as among the best toy brands in history. In the course of more than four decades of success, one thing Playmobil never really did until recently is enter the world of pop culture licensing. Launching into those waters among their hit Ghostbusters collection is one based on the world of DreamWorks DRAGONS - the hit Netflix Original Series spawned from the popular How to Train Your Dragon films. An Official Selection in my 2017 Holiday Wish Guide™, Playmobil DreamWorks DRAGONS Hiccup and Toothless brings the famous duo together in a classic style!

Toothless and Hiccup Take Flight!

Kids can pretend that they're defending Berk as Toothless swoops down from the sky with Hiccup atop the dragon's back. This set includes Toothless (complete with articulated legs, mouth and wings), a trio of foam-tipped blue "flame" darts, a sword for Hiccup, along with a battle helmet (and alternate hair) and flight shield.

Toothless has illuminating back spikes (AAA battery required) that glow with blue LED lighting. In Night Fury Fashion, the darts (plasma bolts) can be loaded one-at-a-time to be blasted from his mouth, perfect for scaring away any enemies that might try to get in his way!

Playmobil Dragons Review

Crated in the high-quality that families have come to expect from Playmobil, Hiccup and Toothless make a welcome addition to any collection - representing a message of teamwork and friendship as kids recreate adventures from the films and tv series, or create new ones built by the power of imagination.
