31 Days of Halloween: TOYS R US and the Vintage Costumes of the 1980s

The wonderful slang of the 1980s... were the Halloween Costumes on-sale at your local TOYS 'R US store enough to make your Halloween ''super maximum?'' According to the following commercial, they certainly were. More concerning is why there's a large Gorilla that appears to kidnap a small child right in front of the mother, who apparently goes along with it. Well, she is a witch. Watch and learn.

While the video above is said to be from 1985, the date on the commercial actually says "1983." If you're like me, you probably remember this ad being recycled for at least a few years way back when. Speaking of recycling, I just may have re-used this post from a long-lost entry I'd written somewhere else awhile back.

You can't go wrong with nostalgia, and that's why this is included for Day 5 of The Rock Father's 31 Days of Halloween.
