Holiday Wish Guide Giveaway: Celebrate OUR GENERATION Dolls at Target with a $100 Gift Card!

Written by

With my wife and I being the parents of two girls, the world of 18" dolls and accessories has been a growing one here at Rock Father HQ. We've discovered over the years that there's some huge variance in quality, price and style between all the different brands that are out there, and as I've written about here on THE ROCK FATHER Magazine in the past, there is no other brand that hits the mark more perfectly than Our Generation when it comes to the right balance. Available exclusively at Target stores here in the U.S., Battat's line of Our Generation Dolls and Accessories offers high quality toys that kids love, and a price that doesn't break the bank. After selling the dolls for more than a decade and finding them consistently among their best-selling toys, Target partnered with Battat to place expanded Our Generation Shops within 19 Target Stores this Fall - a trial run (which I covered here) that is likely a sign of big things to come. To celebrate the new shops and in-store events on December 10, along with Our Generation's inclusion as a featured pick in my 2016 Holiday Wish Guide, THE ROCK FATHER and Battat have teamed-up to give you a shot at winning a $100 Target Gift Card to help with your holiday shopping! First, we'll take a look at some of the latest items from Our Generation...

Our Generation Sweet Stop Ice Cream Truck Review

Our Generation Sweet Stop Ice Cream Truck -  A fine choice for a kid's "big gift" this holiday season, this Ice Cream Truck is available in light blue or pink, and has been turning heads since its arrival here at Rock Father HQ. Working headlights and iconic Ice Cream Truck music paired with working windshield wipers add elements of real-world action into the mix, while the windows and doors open, with the top swinging down to create a perfect patio playset. There's also a ton of accessories - everything a kid would need to set up a perfect ice cream shop on wheels for their 18" dolls. Pick up the optional Sweet Stop Playset for additional food items, an apron, a banner, and a sandwich board with real chalk.

Our Generation Nicola (Doctor/Surgeon) Doll - Ever since the arrival of Disney Junior's Doc McStuffins, our oldest daughter has had an interest in medicine and helping people. Hopefully that continues, as she immerses herself in that world while playing, and Nicola caught her eye as soon as she saw her on the shelf at the local Target store. This doll comes in Doctor's garb, complete with X-rays, a prescription pad, patient chart, otoscope (which lights up) and more.

Our Generation Deluxe Accessory Shoe Rack - As your kids' doll collection expands, they'll need a place to keep their wardrobe, and this set helps with the shoes and such. A pretty cool little set of shelves with a nook for a working umbrella and a drawer for additional accessories, the girls were pretty excited to fill it up - but it comes with additional shoes and boots!
