If your house is anything like ours, then PAW Patrol is probably a huge deal. The tales of Ryder and the Pups saving the day in Adventure Bay have become legendary, with a symbiotic relationship between the Nick Jr. TV series and the expansive (and growing) line of toys from Spin Master. In fact, I think that the PAW Patrol line of figures, vehicles and playsets is one of the best toy lines of the past decade. In the summer of 2015, during my last visit to The Step2 Company's Ohio headquarters as a Brand Ambassador, I sat-in on a meeting in which some third-party licenses were presented as potential new toys - a few of which already had some hand-drawn mock-ups. One of them was PAW Patrol. Now, over a year later, the Step2 PAW Patrol Lookout Climber is a reality - released as a Toys "R" Us Exclusive for the fall of 2016, and an early pick for my 2016 Holiday Wish Guide!

My friends at Step2 had one of these sent to us for review in the Toy Testing Facility at Rock Father HQ, and our resident PAW Patrol expert (Finley) couldn't wait to get playing. She helped me assemble the climber, which took about an hour (only a screwdriver is required). We put together a little hands-on review video with both of The Rock Daughters™ and yours truly, and you can the whole thing below:

The PAW Patrol Lookout Climber is recommended for kids ages 1½-5, and the size reflects that at just shy of 5'. Since Finn just turned four and is on the exceptionally tall side of things, this lookout does seem small for her - but essentially this has also become a really big playset for all of her other vehicles and figures.

There's a working periscope, click knobs, a ladder with non-slip treads, and the little slide so kids can race right into adventure. Colorful graphics enhance the appearance of the lookout, which is color-matched perfectly with the on-screen base of operations for the Pups.

Step2 PAW Patrol Lookout Climber Review

As with most Step2 toys, the PAW Patrol Lookout climber is Made in the USA, molded in Streetsboro, Ohio, and built to last for many years to come. Recommended for outdoor use, I see no reason why this climber couldn't be used in an indoor play area if you have the room.

If you have a little one that might want one of these, get your order in through Toys "R" Us right now. At $149.99, I could see these going fast... especially with the holiday season approaching. 100% Rock Father-approved!
