L.A.-based producer/artist PRINTZ BOARD spent years collaborating with artists like The Black Eyed Peas, Mark Ronson, CeeLo, Justin Timberlake and DJ Mustard before stepping to the front a few years back. For summer 2015, Printz has a new single - one I can dig. "Rock N Roll" (featuring The Boardmemberz) was released a few weeks ago, and now comes the official video - one featuring appearances by SketchSHE, Ebonique (THE VOICE), pinup/glamour model Leanne Crow, singer/songwriter Ryan Cabrera and Vine star Wuz Good. "We really wanted the story to stand alone - not to rely on the music, or simply feel like a music video," explains RECESS MONKEY Bassist/Vocalist Jack Forman about "Lighter Than Air," which follows "Penguinese" as the latest video from their forthcoming new album, HOT AIR. Forman, who co-wrote the single with bandmates Drew Holloway (Guitar/Vocals) and Korum Bischoff (Drums) also took the reigns on animation and editing for the video, which we're debuting today here on THE ROCK FATHER Magazine. The clip will be included when the album hits the streets on June 16 as a CD/DVD Combo.  "While the songs inspired story elements to some degree, we really treated them more like underscoring," he adds, noting that "the big challenge was to create something that was both 'peppy' but also celebrated meandering - [since] so much of the progression is what happens when Andrew and the Penguin are aimless and open to making discoveries." It's "New Music Tuesday" (one of the last times I can say that, as new releases shift to Fridays beginning July 10), and today there's something new for the whole family. Two of my kindie friends - TWINKLE TIME and MISTA COOKIE JAR - have teamed up for a new single and video called "Kidz Rock." Both artists produce bilingual jams for the kids and family market, and this one - released to coincide with Dia Del Niño (April 30) is a fresh mix of EDM, hip hop and pop. Check it out below, and if you dig it, buy the track direct from Twinkle via Bandcamp.

Singer/Songwriter SABRINA CARPENTER can be seen regularly on GIRL MEETS WORLD, and tonight she debuted her new music video for "We'll Be the Stars" on Disney Channel. The song is out now as a digital single, and will be included on Sabrina's debut album later this spring. Her 2014 EP CAN'T BLAME A GIRL FOR TRYING is available as well. On February 24, KID ROCK is back with his first release for Warner Bros. Records when FIRST KISS hits the streets. This week, the video for the title track arrived - a nostalgic tune that's getting a lot of comparisons to Bryan Adams' "Summer of '69" (especially that opening riff), and one that's got a lot of crossover appeal, but a real warm weather vibe to help with these cold months we're in. Check it out below, right here on THE ROCK FATHER...

I've always imagined that every time the members of OK Go sit down to brainstorm a new music video, one of them throws down a pencil and curses their 2005 treadmill-hopping clip for "Here It Goes Again" (I played that a ton on ROCK BAND) as the piece that started them down an elaborate path that grows more complex with each new album. The latest in their string of continuous-take videos is for "I Won't Let You Down," the second single from their recently-released album, HUNGRY GHOSTS. Check it out below...
