Have you ever heard the "Finger Family Song?" Despite having two young daughters, I'd never heard of it until today (neither had they) when a new version of the tune (an older version has over 221 MILLION views on YouTube) hit my inbox. The hook for me is that TRANSYLVANIA PETTING ZOO (from Charles Fulp, creator of Preschool Popstars) is a group of pretty cool monsters... and I do love some monsters. Check out the new video below, and check out both Preschool Popstars and Transylvania Petting Zoo on Facebook for more family-friendly tunes.

Whenever I post about this band, I always have to preface things with a little note of backstory... because PRODUCT OF HATE isn't simply just another metal band: We've been friends since 2009, and I currently co-manage them. While many of you who frequent the site are familiar with my family entertainment endeavors, perhaps you didn't know that I still have my hand in the music world on a regular basis, or that I occasionally direct and edit music videos. "Kill. You. Now." is the opening track on PRODUCT OF HATE's Napalm Records debut, BURIED IN VIOLENCE (Amazon | iTunes), and the video is the second of three that we recently filmed. Officially-released this past Friday via Heavy Blog is Heavy, the clip has gained steam in recent days, appearing on sites like Blabbermouth and The PRP (among many others). As PRODUCT OF HATE closes out their month-long tour with Mushroomhead, Sumo Cyco and Madame Mayhem this week, I'm sharing the new video here on THE ROCK FATHER Magazine. Nope, this video isn't for the kids...

On May 27th, Metal Blade Records will release SONGS FROM THE GARAGE (pre-order), the first album by comedian JIM BREUER and his backing band, THE LOUD & ROWDY. Earlier today, a new music video for "Thrash" hit my inbox, and essentially it's what happens here at my house when my wife takes The Rock Daughters™ on an adventure that leaves me with a few hours of free time... the exception being that I crank the metal sans headphones. Check this out... I'm digging it!

The journey of Fatherhood is different for everyone - an experience of learning and growth for each traveler. Every father has a story, and since launching this website, I've heard many tales spun by fellow "Rock Fathers" from all walks of life. Today comes the lyric video for "Sun" from MILTON J and the LEFTOVERS, a very DIY, and almost "handmade" love letter to Milton's boy, set to a track from their new album, VAIN WISDOM (iTunes | Amazon).

Watch & Listen: THE NOT-ITS! "Dance With Me"

Seattle's THE NOT-ITS! have long-been one of our favorite kindie rock bands here at Rock Father HQ, and as part of The Kindiependent Collective alongside CASPAR BABYPANTS, RECESS MONKEY, THE BOARD OF EDUCATION, THE HARMONICA POCKET and others, THE NOT-ITS! have been leading the charge for legit family-friendly rock. On February 19th, the band will release their sixth full-length album, with ARE YOU LISTENING? hitting the streets with 10 all-new jams. This week, the first music video from the album has arrived, a hand-animated piece by Chris Looney called "Dance With Me." Check it out...

You've heard a lot about Wisconsin's PRODUCT OF HATE here on THE ROCK FATHER Magazine, and for good reason - I've been their co-manager since 2010. I've also had the honor of calling these five guys my friends and brothers, the end result of a chance meeting when I caught them live in Kenosha, Wisconsin back in 2009. Now, after years of hard work, PRODUCT OF HATE's debut album, BURIED IN VIOLENCE (iTunes | Amazon), will be in stores everywhere on February 5, 2016 through legendary metal label Napalm Records. Last week, the new single "Monster" hit radio - quickly entering rotation on SiriusXM Liquid Metal (shout to Jose Mangin for getting behind it!), and this week it unexpectedly hit #10 on the iTunes Metal "Hot Tracks" Chart. With the track grabbing so many new ears, we've released  a new video to accompany it - one of three all-new videos that we shot this month to support the release. As with past PoH clips, I'm handling Directing and Editing duties, and for this batch of videos we had a fantastic new crew. Check out "Monster" below!
