Watch: TWINKLE TIME - "Kidz Rock (featuring MISTA COOKIE JAR)"

It's "New Music Tuesday" (one of the last times I can say that, as new releases shift to Fridays beginning July 10), and today there's something new for the whole family. Two of my kindie friends - TWINKLE TIME and MISTA COOKIE JAR - have teamed up for a new single and video called "Kidz Rock." Both artists produce bilingual jams for the kids and family market, and this one - released to coincide with Dia Del Niño (April 30) is a fresh mix of EDM, hip hop and pop. For "Kidz Rock," Twinkle and Cookie co-wrote the track with producers, Matthew Gerrard (KELLY CLARKSON, BIG TIME RUSH, HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL), Peter Amato (NBC's THE VOICE, MILEY CYRUS, LEANN RIMES, RICKY MARTIN) and James Dallas. A former member of YOUNGSTOWN, Dallas is married to former NOBODY's ANGEL singer Alitzah (aka Twinkle), and has had his songs placed on the George Lopez Show, Bring it On, The Bratz, and co-writes/produces with Twinkle the “Bilingual Pop Music Show for KiDS, Twinkle Time!”

James Zahn

James Zahn is not a journalist, nor a blogger, though he may be credited as such by others, or even accept the title... depending on the circumstance.  Instead, he considers himself largely to be an "entertainment and lifestyle writer," bringing 25+ years of experience in the entertainment and publishing industries into the family realm as THE ROCK FATHER™.

He's appeared as a music expert on CNN's AC360 alongside Anderson Cooper, and has been interviewed by Larry King. In the past he served as a writer for  Fandango Family and PBS KIDS, penned articles for Sprout and PopSugar, and was a contributor to Chicago Parent.
