Representing Chicago via Berwyn, the BOOGERS are quite possibly the loudest Children's band you're ever gonna see (until I get my Kindie-Metal project going). After taking a look at their 2008 debut album back in March (read the review here), it's only appropriate that I throw down some virtual ink devoted to their 2010 follow-up, LET'S GO! After all, they should be about due for a new record at some point in the near future...

Boogers Lets Go CoverPulling off the impossible, the BOOGERS manage to bring round two with just as much RAMONES-influenced intensity as their first album, while clocking in a lucky 13 tracks at just over 24 minutes - nearly two minutes shorter than their previous effort. Including liner notes by Monte A. Melnick, former RAMONES tour manager and author of ON THE ROAD WITH THE RAMONES,  LET'S GO! (is the title also a RANCID nod?) presents mostly-all-original tracks with one reworking of the RAMONES' "Beat on the Brat" as "My Baseball Bat," and a few punked-up re-imaginings of songs like "Pop Goes the Weasel" and "London Bridge."

There isn't a lot more I can say to tell you just how good the BOOGERS are, but if you dig the RAMONES, punk rock, or just rock music in general (which, if you're on this site you better), you're gonna want to share this record with your kids.

Trust me, you'll have the toughest kid on the block as they crank "I'm Ridin' My Bike" while ridin' their bike down the sidewalk.
