It's incredible to think of any musical artist being able to release a staggering 34 full-length albums over the course of their career, but in an incredible 56 years of recording for Smithsonian Folkways, that's exactly the number that ELLA JENKINS recently reached, with the release of "123s & ABCs."

Jenkins, a Chicago resident, is often referred to as America's "First Lady of Children's Music," and with her albums come a certain level of comfort, with each song delivered in a trusted voice that kids embrace.

Rock Father Approved! 2014

We've been listening to "123s & ABCs" for a few weeks now, both here at Rock Father HQ and in the car during our daily travels (preview three tracks here) and the connection with my girls was immediate. Jenkins is a natural teacher and the informal presentation brings a "live" feel to the 16-song collection geared toward helping kids learn counting and the alphabet.

"123s & ABCs" is highly-recommended for preschoolers and is available now on Amazon and iTunes.
