Netflix Stream TeamIt's almost time for Frank Castle to have revenge. On November 17, Marvel's The Punisher makes its long-awaited debut as a Netflix Original Series, the latest following Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and The Defenders. Jon Bernthal stars as the title character, a heavily-armed former Marine-turned-vigilante known throughout New York City. On a mission to punish the criminals responsible for the murder of his family, Frank Castle will soon find himself involved in a military conspiracy far bigger than he could possibly imagine. Check out the new trailer below!

Netflix Stream TeamThe MARVEL Gods were shining upon San Diego Comic-Con last night, bringing forth so much goodness it could barely be contained. From the new Hasbro action figures featuring DOCTOR STRANGE and SPIDER-MAN to the first trailer for the Netflix Original Series, MARVEL's LUKE CAGE, it looked like a big night... but then it became a HUGE night. Also released were the first trailers for MARVEL's IRON FIST and MARVEL's THE DEFENDERS - a New York superhero team-up that features characters from all of the Netflix/MARVEL collaborations coming together as a team. Let's look at that one first - a teaser set to NIRVANA's "Come As You Are."

Netflix Stream TeamAt the TCA Winter Press Tour in Pasadena last month, I sat like a fly on the wall as the cast and crew of MARVEL's DAREDEVIL spilled some details (and video) of what's yet to come in Season Two of the Netflix Original Series. If 2016 is the year of the superhero shakedown, DAREDEVIL is certainly entering the ring with fists flying. We already have Captain America and Iron Man going at it in CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, and on the other side of the aisle, DC's BATMAN v SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE. With the just-released trailer for DAREDEVIL Season Two, we may well be looking at DAREDEVIL v PUNISHER: THE BATTLE FOR HELL'S KITCHEN. Having seen many play The Punisher (one of my favorite heroes) over the years, Jon Bernthal may be the best yet. Check this out (not for kids):

I hate this. Exactly four months ago today, I posted an entry dedicated to those that perished at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT. Yesterday, on the exact day that my youngest daughter turned 10 months old, yet another horrifically violent act of terror has taken place in our Nation. Whatever you want to call it - "The Boston Marathon Massacre," "The Boston Bombing," etc. - the traditional news media was quick to hit After Effects to whip-up some fancy graphics to pair with dramatic stock music to aid in feasting upon the carnage. As with any disaster, the "news" spread swiftly, filled with lies, speculation, and outright fabrication - our favorite social networks working overtime to keep delivering a heavy dose of garbage. And, like Sandy Hook, Twitter and Facebook users were quick to start sharing an image of a boy (and one of a girl) supposedly killed in Boston, easily inspiring the mindless masses to hit the "Retweet" and "Share" buttons without checking facts (or at least blatant details).   As a wise man once said, "Who's the more foolish... the fool, or the fool who follows him?"
