With Walt Disney Studios' Christopher Robin headed for theaters on August 3 (see the latest trailer here), the folks over at Funko are giving some characters from the film a Pop! Vinyl treatment. For the first wave, they're bringing Winnie the Pooh, Tigger and Eeyore into the format, capturing the cinematic look, which itself is inspired both by Classic Pooh and Disney's previous designs on the animated versions. All of these are available for pre-order now from my friends at Entertainment Earth, while a special edition flocked Pooh Bear with a red balloon is available exclusively at Box Lunch stores.
Universal Pictures' Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom has stomped, roared and clawed it's way into theaters, and if one message is clear - it's that "the park is gone." But amidst the excitement for the second chapter of the Jurassic World saga, fans are celebrating the 25th anniversary of the movie that started it all - Jurassic Park. There's a ton of great merchandise out there marking the milestone, and one of the most popular and hard-to-come by pieces is the Entertainment Earth Exclusive Dennis Nedry & Dilophosaurus Funko Pop! Vinyl 2-Pack. You remember Dennis - a computer enthusiast that looked suspiciously like Newman from Seinfeld. As he attempted to steal dinosaur embryos by stashing them in a shaving cream can, he found himself directionally challenged, eventually coming face-to-face with the venom-spitting dilophosaurus. This is the only way to get the spit-on version of Dennis, and while they've sold-out once before (more are coming in August), Entertainment Earth and The Rock Father™ want to get one of you hooked-up with a set for your own Pop! collection (see all the awesome Jurassic World Funko Pops here).
They don't really grasp the legacy or importance just yet, but our girls first experienced the world that Fred Rogers created thanks to Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood on PBS Kids. Now, there's a new documentary that takes a look back at how it all began, and why the spirit of Mister Rogers Neighborhood is exactly what the world could use right now. Focus Features' Won't You Be My Neighbor is winning audiences to become one of this summer's surprise hits (99% "Fresh" on Rotten Tomatoes), and now The Rock Father™ has teamed-up Fandango and the all-new Fandango FanShop to invite you back into the neighborhood with a fun Mr. Rogers prize pack. Two (2) lucky readers will receive bundles including a a Funko Mister Rogers Pocket Pop! Keychain plus a $20 Fandango Gift Card. Won't you be our neighbor?
If you happened to have seen the recent documentary, Making Fun: The Story of Funko (now on Netflix), you probably caught the fact that Betty Boop was a very important license for Funko early on. In the 90s, nearly a decade or so before the Pop! Vinyl craze would begin, Funko was known for their Wacky Wobblers, and Betty Boop was a big fixture in that line. Now Funko is launching a full line of Betty Boop Pop! Vinyl Figures, and my friends at Entertainment Earth (an affiliate partner) have an Exclusive version, Black & White Betty Boop. But that's not all, because there's also a rare Chase version of the figure with red highlights. Which one will you get?

By this time back in 1989, thanks to Tim Burton's feature film, it was the Summer of BATMAN and by year's end, Bat-fever was everywhere. Just days before Christmas, Sunsoft released Batman: The Video Game for the Nintendo Entertainment System, and nearly 30 years later it's still looked upon fondly as a classic game from the era. Now, the color scheme and spirit of that 8-Bit goodness is inspiring Entertainment Earth's latest SDCC-exclusive figure from Funko to be officially revealed right here on The Rock Father™ Magazine!
