Hey neighbors! I have some Grr-ific news this morning from PBS KIDS. On February 25, 2014, PBS Distribution will release “DANIEL TIGER’S NEIGHBORHOOD: Daniel’s Big Feelings” and “DANIEL TIGER’S NEIGHBORHOOD: Life’s Little Lessons” for the first time on DVD. As most of you know, Daniel Tiger and his friends have been a part of our daily routine since the day they premiered, so it goes without saying that we're excited to hear that these are being released (at one point, I had the entire series on our old DVR). This year, for the very first time, Cinedigm has brought the International cult classic animated series THE SECRET WORLD OF SANTA CLAUS to DVD here in the U.S. Released as two special 2-disc sets that countdown the days until Christmas, we're getting one lucky reader hooked up with a complete set, right here on The Rock Father, just in-time for holiday gifting!

When Disney sent us a copy of their movie PLANES on Blu-ray, the whole family was excited since this was a situation where we've actually had many of the toys from Mattel for several months (I previously did a big feature on them here), but we hadn't yet seen the movie (theater-going is a new thing for my oldest, and FROZEN will be her first big-screen Disney experience). Being big fans of Disney•Pixar's CARS, seeing "The World above CARS" was something we'd been eagerly-awaiting since it was teased in the short film AIR MATER on the CARS 2 Blu-ray.

Even before becoming a PBS KIDS VIP (Very Involved Parent) Blogger in 2013, the entertaining and educational programming offered by PBS KIDS was already a daily staple here in our home. From CAILLOU to CURIOUS GEORGE, DINOSAUR TRAIN to SESAME STREET, there's a lot of great shows and specials that are now available to view anytime on DVD.
