From visionary director Ava DuVernay comes Disney’s “A Wrinkle in Time,” an epic adventure based on Madeleine L’Engle’s timeless classic which takes audiences across dimensions of time and space,  examining the nature of darkness versus light and, ultimately, the triumph of love. The 2017 D23 Expo was absolutely massive, and while I live-tweeted the festivities direct from the show floor, I'm still trying to collect my thoughts on everything that I've seen and heard, even now that I've been back in Illinois for a full day. At the live-action film presentation, Alan Horn, Chairman, Walt Disney Studios, introduced Sean Bailey, President of Walt Disney Studios Motion Picture Production to give an overview of what moviegoers can expect to see across Disney, Marvel Studios and Lucasfilm over the next few years. MULAN will be helmed by Niki Caro (McFarland, USA, Whale Rider), and JUNGLE CRUISE marks the latest Disneyland ride to get a big screen nod, with Dwayne Johnson set to star. Those announcements simply scratch the surface, as the lineup is huge, and I've got all the details below...

A WRINKLE IN TIME finds its "Meg"

Later this year, SELMA Director Ava DuVernay will be back behind the camera to direct Disney's big-screen adaptation of Madeleine L'Engle's 1963 science fiction novel, A WRINKLE IN TIME, working from a script by FROZEN's Jennifer Lee.  After the casting of Oprah Winfrey in the role of Mrs. Which, Reese Witherspoon in the role of Mrs. Whatsit and Mindy Kaling in the role of Mrs. Who, one big question loomed as to who would play the role of "Meg," the young hero at the center of the tale? Today it was revealed to be Storm Reid.
