31 Days of Halloween: Winnie the Pooh's Heffalump Halloween Movie

With a 3-year-old and a newborn in the house, Winnie the Pooh is everywhere. From books to movies to plush toys, it would seem that the oldest can't get enough of Pooh and his pals from the Hundred Acre Wood. In fact, I actually do a pretty solid version of Pooh Bear's voice, and find myself performing the character on a fairly regular basis. As for the movies, we have several on DVD and Blu-Ray, but October means it's time for WINNIE THE POOH'S HEFFALUMP HALLOWEEN MOVIE.
Official Synopsis: "It's a hilariously haunting Halloween in the Hundred Acre Wood. Roo's best new pal, Lumpy, is excited to trick-or-treat for the first time ... until Tigger warns them about the dreaded Gobloon, who'll turn you into a Jaggedy Lantern if he catches you. But if they catch the Gobloon before it catches them, they get to make a wish! With Roo by his side, Lumpy knows he can face anything. So when Pooh eats all the Halloween candy, Lumpy and Roo decide to be "brave together, brave forever" and catch the Gobloon so they can wish for more. When the two friends become separated, however, Roo decides to wish for something even more important. Filled with adventure, unconditional friendship, and lots of laughter, POOH'S HEFFALUMP HALLOWEEN MOVIE is a sweet treat for the whole family."
Originally released by Walt Disney Studios in 2005, the Heffalump Halloween Movie has been a perennial staple ever since, often popping up at retail just-in-time-for-Halloween on special displays of seasonal movies. Oddly enough, I can't tell for sure if it's been reissued for 2012 or not. Regardless, we've already watched it once this season, and it's continued appeal makes it a welcome addition to The Rock Father's 31 Days of Halloween.
