The Pretty Reckless Unleashes '25' Music Video

After a delay caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, The Pretty Reckless will release its new album, Death By Rock and Roll on Feb. 12 via Fearless Records.

The band has stayed busy in recent months with live videos and at-home performances and now the attention has been turned back toward the new album. This week brought the debut of "25," complete with a new music video to go with it. See the clip below.

Not long ago, I shared the track stream for "Take Me Down," the first single from the October 21 release of WHO YOU SELLING FOR, the third full-length album by THE PRETTY RECKLESS. Now comes the official video for a song that I've spun many times over here at Rock Father HQ already - a jam from a band that just keeps getting better as Taylor Momsen's voice has continued to mature over the years. This is pure rock, folks - check it out...

I've been writing about Taylor Momsen and THE PRETTY RECKLESS for over five years already, going back to their debut album back in 2011. This week, in what seems to thematically follow 2014's GOING TO HELL, comes the first single from the band's third album (due this fall), "Take Me Down." It's a true rocker, and the cover art speaks volumes... we've all been there, those times when you make a deal with a "Devil" of sorts. Give it a listen...

I remember the early days of the Snocore Tour (bands like SYSTEM OF A DOWN, MR. BUNGLE, and THE AQUABATS rockin' the stage), though in recent years it sorta dropped off my radar, even going completely AWOL for the past two. Now, after it's short hiatus, Wind-Up Records and TKO are bringing it back as a celebration of music and winter sports. Headlining this year are the THE PRETTY RECKLESS with HEAVEN'S BASEMENT, THE LETTER BLACK, and CROBOT in support. On each date of the tour, one local artist will be chosen to play from ReverbNation. Full details from the official announcement below...

They've teased it for awhile, and now THE PRETTY RECKLESS has finally unleashed a proper music video for their recent single, "Going to Hell" (on iTunes now). The TAYLOR MOMSEN-fronted rockers (who I dig immensely) are currently on the road getting geared up for the release of the sophomore full-length early next year on Razor & Tie. Check out the new clip from director Tim Mattia (CAGE THE ELEPHANT, MARILYN MANSON) below, along with some words from Momsen...

I really dig THE PRETTY RECKLESS. Actually, I had to unearth my reviews of their first album to post here on The Rock Father after it was lost in the internet after the place I wrote it for closed a couple of years ago. That said, the band - frontwoman TAYLOR MOMSEN, BEN PHILLIPS (guitar), JAMIE PERKINS (drums) and MARK DAMON (bass)- have announced plans to give listeners a new taste of their new album (due late 2013) on Mondays.. HELL MONDAYS... starting this week. Yes, I know I'm sharing this news on a Wednesday, but what can I say? I've been busy...
