Freeform is ready for the fall spirit, and this week they've pulled back the curtain on their plans for the 2018 edition of their annual "31 Nights of Halloween." The full schedule can be seen below, and you'll notice that it leans heavily toward two films that are both celebrating their 25th anniversary this year - Hocus Pocus and Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas! Check out the full schedule, along with details on an all-new Disney Parks Halloween special below!

Sure, it's mid-August, but that means we're about to enter my favorite season of them all... Fall. With that comes Halloween, and for the past few years the folks at Disney Parks have served-up some stellar seasonal offerings, including a tradition in which a spooktacular new Droid from their ever-growing Droid Factory line would hit the streets. For 2018, R4-BOO18 is the latest Astromech to represent the Halloween season, inspired by candy corn and looking to spread some sweets to Cloud City or your city. Problem is, ShopDisney sold out almost immediately. While my fingers are crossed that they'll restock their supply, your best bet on this one might be to visit a Disney Park in hopes of grabbing one of these in-person!

In order to share this news, I have to go back to when I first reported on  SpongeBob SquarePants: The Legend of Boo-Kini Bottom during the 2017 installment of my annual 31 Days of Halloween and what  I said then: "He may not know it, but SpongeBob Squarepants is my nemesis. Actually, if we're being honest, he's just one of my nemeses, but for years Mr. Squarepants has been on that shortlist of undesirables, and I can't pick a singular reason for it. I don't like his voice... his animation... in fact, I can't find a single redeeming quality in SpongeBob, and I know I've pointed that out before. Still, many of you enjoy his antics, and that's why I continue to keep tabs on what they're up to down in Bikini Bottom." Now, the one thing that did excite me about SpongeBob (aside from a David Hasselhoff appearance in his movie) is that they went stop-motion for a Halloween special, and that special is now coming home on DVD.

It's never too early to start thinking about my favorite season, Fall, and the greatest holiday of the year, Halloween. That holiday is also the backdrop for John Carpenter's 1978 film, Halloween, one that spawned a sprawling franchise that's been able to last four decades. Now, for the 40th Anniversary of the film that started it all, filmmakers David Gordon Green and Danny McBride have crafted a story that carves a new path from the events of the original. In Halloween (2018) Jamie Lee Curtis returns to her iconic role as Laurie Strode, who comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago. Check out the first trailer below!

The Rock Father™ is a MEGA™Ambassador and Beyonder

When the Halloween season rolls around, families always start thinking about their costumes. In a lot of ways, the spirited season manages to unlock creativity that stays otherwise locked-up throughout the year. For many, there’s a hero just waiting to break out - but there’s no need to keep those characters bottled-up throughout the year! We often combine cosplay (what was called “dress-up” back in the day) with regular play, allowing our kids to inhabit their favorite characters as they engage in imaginative play and world-building here at home. With MEGA Construx™, families can build new worlds based around some of their favorite character from popular franchises like Despicable Me®, Halo®, Pokémon™® and Saban’s Power Rangers™… coincidentally, ones that have become staples of Halloween.
