The Aquabats! is a band with special significance around these parts — they were my oldest daughter's first big rock show. She's now been on stage with them twice (2014 & 2017), and my youngest is a fan as well, having seen her first Aquabats! show two years ago. There's cross-generational appeal to the mighty band of superheroes, and last fall, thousands of fans came together to proclaim “I am The Aquabats!” — backing the band’s Kickstarter campaign to raid over $690,000 — funding two new full-length studio albums and 12 web-exclusive episodes of their Emmy Award-winning kids’ show The Aquabats! Super Show!

The Aquabats! It's been eight long years since the band released Hi-Five Soup! back in 2011, and now they can finally release The Aquabats! Super Show! Soundtrack Vol. 1  —  "a 27-track genre-defying, high-energy celebration of the wackiness that made Super Show! some of the most unique kids’ TV in the last decade." The album includes never-before-heard extended versions of tunes from the show, including “Burger Rain,” “Feel My Steel” and “The Dude Theme.”

Two new songs from the soundtrack will be released on April 26, while a music video for  “Feel My Steel” will debut on May 15. The Aquabats! Super Show! Soundtrack Vol. 1 will be available on CD, vinyl and digital download on June 7.

The Aquabats! will celebrate their 25th year by hitting the road with Reel Big Fish this summer, with more tours set for fall in support of their first-ever fan-funded album.
