Giveaway (for Grownups): Chris Hardwick - MANDROID on DVD!

Written by

Have you been paying attention to the semi-hidden, somewhat-secret "For Grownups" section here on The Rock Father? If not, you're missing out on some killer opportunities - like this one... a shot at scoring a copy of MANDROID, the new DVD from the Nerdist himself - CHRIS HARDWICK! Yes, the good folks at Comedy Central have teamed up with The Rock Father to get two lucky readers hooked up with this funny new special!

Chris Hardwick - MANDROID

MandroidThe Nerdist himself, Chris Hardwick, celebrates all things nerdy with the release of the uncensored and extended DVD “Chris Hardwick: Mandroid” by COMEDY CENTRAL Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Media Distribution. Bonus features include Hard ‘N Phirm Live: “Abraham Lincoln” and “El Corazon” and “A Totally Hidden Easter Egg.”

Hipsters beware: there is no irony in Hardwick’s affinity for Captain Picard, Comic-Con and the Atari 2600. Filmed at Skirball Center for Performing Arts in New York City, “Chris Hardwick: Mandroid” features candid comedy tales that cover virginity, chess club, shark vaginas, awkward childhood, awkward adulthood (which in this case is an extension of awkward childhood) and a myriad of other topics which may or may not include Quidditch. From unearthing his old MySpace page to the futility of attempting to delete his Facebook account, Hardwick displays his comical approach to all things trivial in the digital era, all while #hashtagging completely out of context.

Hardwick is a stand-up comedian, writer, and television and Internet personality. On COMEDY CENTRAL, he has appeared on “Mash Up” and “Premium Blend.” He is a contributing writer for Wired Magazine and is the host of AMC’s “Talking Dead,” a live after-show for “The Walking Dead.” Hardwick is the founder of Nerdist, a cross-platform production entity devoted to all things nerd-related. Their online presence includes a website at Nerdist.com, a premium YouTube channel (youtube.com/nerdist), the Nerdist News daily e-newsletters, Course of the Force – an annual lightsaber relay run for charity, 1.7 million Twitter fans, and a podcast network, including the flagship Nerdist Podcast, which is also produced as a TV show on BBC America. In July 2012 Legendary Entertainment acquired Nerdist Industries; Hardwick serves as Co-President of Digital for Legendary, as well as Founder and Chief Creative Officer of Nerdist Industries.
