Political humor is a time-honored tradition that seems to have taken a little bit of a dip in recent years, particularly because the American public seems to have gone pretty soft. As skin gets thinner, I think it's time for me to remind everyone yet again of a fact that I last pointed out back in June of 2017 when DC Comics unleashed a preview of MAD About Trump: A Brilliant Look at Our Brainless PresidentNo matter what your political affiliation or lack thereof, it's okay to make fun of our President. It's also perfectly acceptable to question, challenge and take shots at your elected officials. Respect doesn't come with an office or position - it has to be earned. Political humor is timeless, and if you're the President of The United States of America, you are fair game. In my lifetime, I always think of Saturday Night Live and Chevy Chase as Gerald Ford as the benchmark - the earliest clips I can recall. I see people complaining on Twitter about Alec Baldwin as Trump, yet those same folks have no doubt laughed it up about other actors playing Obama, Bush, Clinton, Reagan, Nixon, Carter and all of their opponents. It doesn't make any sense, because it is always acceptable to make fun of the President - always. While I haven't traditionally written a lot about politics here on the site (something slowly changing as I begin using my platform for my own agenda - people, not party), as a registered Independent that cannot fully identify with any political party in this country (or any other), I say, "Joke 'Em All!" Anyone remember the comic book, "Great Morons in History: Dan Quayle?" I had that one, and I'm sure it was a great white elephant gift upon its release back in 1992. On that same note, as part of Holiday Wish Guide™ 2018, I'm pointing my lens at the man currently in the White House, the 45th President of the United States: Donald J. Trump. No matter what your opinion of The Apprentice and Home Alone II: Lost In New York star, I'm sure we can all agree that these six gift ideas will no doubt provoke a reaction at any holiday gathering. While some may question their taste, they are pretty funny... tremendously funny, even.

Anthony Vincent of Ten Second Songs recently popped-up in a cameo on the Netflix Original Series, The Good Cop (starring Josh Groban and Tony Danza), but that's not why he disappeared for a month. No, he was working toward the release of his newest video, Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" in 42 Styles. Featuring impressions on how the Queen classic would've been performed by the likes of Ozzy Osbourne, Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, Bruno Mars and N.W.A., the new clip and the rundown of all the artist styles included can be viewed below.

I'm Pretty Much the Dad from SNL's FORTNITE Sketch...

Written by

If you happened to catch the season premiere of Saturday Night Live, you may have seen Kylo Ren Adam Driver as a middle-aged dad getting his first taste of the massively-popular FORTNITE. Playing alongside a pair of 15-year-olds (Pete Davidson and Kyle Mooney), Driver proudly alerts the others that his 11-year-old son loves the game, but it's his first time jumping into the Battle Royale. My own confession: despite covering FORTNITE for ages, I just downloaded it to my Xbox One a few weeks ago, somehow getting the "Victory Royale" twice within my first few matches. Somewhat creepily, one of the kids in my squad said he was 9-years-old (same as my oldest daughter) as he asked me if I "know about building stuff." The kids may have their FORTNITE, but they're always amazed when I tear them up while playing Street Fighter II. Check out the sketch below!

Kevin Hart is a busy man, and some might even say that he's "irresponsible." In fact, he'd be one of those people, and today he's announced the expansion of his  "widely successful and massively hysterical" 'The Kevin Hart Irresponsible Tour,' adding over 100 new dates across the U.S., Canada, Europe, Australia and Asia. Produced by Live Nation, the new dates will kick off March 23 in Baltimore, MD and hit all new cities including New York, Atlanta, Chicago, Toronto, Paris, London, Sydney, Auckland, Singapore, and more. Check out Kevin's announcement video and the new tour dates below...

Netflix #StreamTeamThis afternoon, I sat-in on a discussion about the growing number of Stand-Up Specials that will be rolling out on Netflix in the coming year. Hannibal Buress, John Mulaney and Patton Oswalt threw down some thoughts on working with Netflix on their latest specials - Oswalt largely equating the readily-available library as being like "albums on a shelf" - You want to see it, and there it is. This Spring, four new titles will join that virtual shelf, with details and premiere dates for specials by Buress, Jimmy Carr, Theo Von and Oswalt ready to roll out. Check out a preview...

Those who know me are usually aware of my dislike for door-to-door solicitors and telemarketers. They're scummy professions in my eyes (don't call my cell, don't ring my bell - maybe I should trademark that!), so I love it when there's an opportunity to fight back... with a little humor, of course. On December 4, Metal Blade Records will unleash TERRORIZING TELEMARKETERS: VOLUME 6, the latest collection of phone-based retaliation from JIM FLORENTINE and DON JAMIESON. Available via iTunes, Amazon, and the like, physical CDs will be available exclusively at live shows. Check out "In a Pickle..."

In THE FLUFFY MOVIE, comedian GABRIEL IGLESIAS (currently seen on ABC's CRISTELA) performs his hilarious stand-up act in one of the fluffiest movies ever made. Sporting one of his iconic Hawaiian shirts, Gabriel Iglesias traveled the nation in his “Unity Through Laughter” tour and didn’t fail to entertain with jokes about food, weight loss, his trip to India, and his son. In celebration of the THE FLUFFY MOVIE’s home release, Universal Studios Home Entertainment and THE ROCK FATHER have teamed-up to get one (1) lucky read hooked-up with the Blu-ray + DVD + Digital HD Combo Pack. Check out 7 of Gabriel Iglesias' Top Jokes below, and get those entries in!

Funny enough, I've been doing my annual 31 Days of Halloween here on THE ROCK FATHER for eighteen days now, and today of all days, I didn't have an entry scheduled. While I may have goofed, the internet Gods shined upon me this evening with an out-of-the-darkness email from a rep for Chicago band, COMMON SHINER, pointing me in the direction of their new music video, "Social Mediasochist." Imagine for a moment that the John Hughes-inspired world of NOT ANOTHER TEEN MOVIE was placed in a blender with every slasher film from about 1980 'til now. See what the students of Wes Craven's Slasher High School are up to in the new video, directed by Zoran Gvojic of Lowcarbcomedy...

The show was staged with the amazing original cast that included Laura Silverman as his bored receptionist and Jon Benjamin as his son, Ben. The Rock Father is a 2014 Member of the NETFLIX Stream TeamAfter kicking around for over a decade, TRAILER PARK BOYS are back for an eighth season, this time as a NETFLIX Original. Check out a clip from Kimmel, along with the TRAILER PARK BOYS Season 8 Trailer below, right here on THE ROCK FATHER: #ForGrownups...

5168T9IMoQL. SY300 Comedy Dynamics will release Dennis Miller’s new stand-up CD and digital album America 180 on iTunes, Amazon, and at most physical and digital retailers and streaming outlets on June 17, 2014 to coincide with the worldwide television premiere of the special of the same name on EPIX.

In his first comedy special for EPIX, Miller examines the current state of our Union. From the antics of those running Washington, to the blunders of President Obama’s healthcare initiative, to our wild efforts to save the planet one light bulb at a time, his take on today’s America is both hysterical and painfully right on target. Dennis Miller: America 180° was taped at the Barclay Theatre in Irvine, California.
