I was working on the retail side of the music business at the height of the "boy band" craze in the late 90's/early 00's, and the BACKSTREET BOYS were a staple of that era. Now that they're literally "back," the 'Boys have crafted an original holiday song for 2012 entitled "It's Christmas Time Again." I still think it's a little weird to see MARVEL items in The Disney Store, but Disney's ownership of the brand has certainly spawned some cool things, and I'm sure we'll be seeing some similarly-rockin' STAR WARS swag popping up in the Store as time goes on. I'd be hard-pressed to find another store that the munchkins and I love more than Toys "R" Us. It's the last of the great toy store chains, and, as I've said before, I think it's important for kids to have a place like that to go. Pop-Up stores are becoming much more commonplace these days, and for the holidays, GameStop is getting in on the action. The video game retailer is launching 80 GameStop Kids locations (click here for the full list) across the U.S. featuring an assortment of this season’s "most sought after video games and accessories, video game licensed products, popular toy brands and collectibles."

The folks over at Disney Consumer Products have revealed their list of the Top Ten "Must Have" Holiday Gifts from their own collection. Their official picks come from across the Disney spectrum including Disney·Pixar Cars, Disney Princess character Cinderella, Disney Fairies, Doc McStuffins, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, Marvel’s The Amazing Spider-Man, Winnie the Pooh and Wreck-It Ralph.
