When I was out in L.A. working with Disney and Marvel Studios on the premiere weekend of Avengers: Infinity War, I had a chance to check out a showroom at Disney Consumer Products and Interactive with a whole bunch of new action figures for Marvel Studios: The First Ten Years - many of which that weren't shown back in February at Toy Fair in New York. Now they're rolling out, and one of the hottest comes from Captain America: The First Avenger, and it's making its debut at Comic-Con International in San Diego. Check out the MARVEL LEGENDS SERIES RED SKULL & ELECTRONIC TESSERACT!

For the first-time ever, I will be attending Comic-Con International in San Diego - but for one day only (stay tuned for details). There's gonna be a lot to take in (though I won't be there just as a fan) and one must-visit booth will be from Hasbro. Today comes yet another exclusive announcement, this one coming from the Netflix Original Series, Marvel's Defenders. The Marvel Legends Series Defenders Rail Authority 5-Pack will be available first at booth #3329 at SDCC, followed by some being made available in select quantities at additional conventions at at HasbroToyShop.com. With summer officially here, that means a lot of wet fun for a good percentage of the population. Personally, my family thinks I'm a party pooper since I don't particularly care for swimming, and like Anakin Skywalker I'm not a big fan of sand either so that makes me a ton of fun at the beach. But my kids love the water - in fact, they've been in swimming lessons since shortly after birth and they make me pretty proud. Where I draw the line is with putting a pool here at Rock Father HQ (I love our big, solid yard). Fortunately, Grandma has one, and that's been the perfect spot to enjoy some of the new inflatables from the folks at Swimways (a subsidiary of Spin Master). After seeing a few at Toy Fair, we received a few for review, and the ones that they sent are pretty appropriately themed for my areas of expertise - they're Star Wars and Marvel.

The were missing during the events of Marvel Studios' Avengers: Infinity War, but in this new featurette for Ant-Man & The Wasp, Marvel's Kevin Feige confirms speculation that Ant-Man and the Wasp will be very important to the upcoming Avengers 4. In fact, he lays it right out in stating that the film "connects directly to Avengers 4." So who is the Wasp? Get a brief history lesson below!

This is one of those things that can make certain members of the general public that are casual fans of things a little bit confused. More than one person has been Spider-Man, which means that the traditional story of Peter Parker sometimes gets thrown out the window. There's a storyline that's appeared in comics in which there have been many variations on Spider-Man (and not just "man"), perhaps most famously when a kid named Miles Morales dons the mask. This Christmas, that comes to the big screen in the animated film, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse," which comes to life from Sony Pictures Animation. Check out the new trailer and full details below!

Back in 2015, Entertainment Earth (an affiliate of The Rock Father™) partnered with Funko for an exclusive glow-in-the-dark Pop! Vinyl Bobblehead of Thanos, based on his appearance in Marvel Studios' Guardians of the Galaxy. A double-sized 6" figure, this version of the "Mad Titan" sold out quickly, but no one could've predicted just how popular Thanos would be three years later. Thanks to his finger-snapping villainy in Avengers: Infinity War, Funko and Entertainment Earth are doing a second run of the popular figure - the only 6" Funko Thanos that can currently be purchased new (an Avengers version sold as a Hot Topic exclusive is now only found on the secondary market). Pre-orders are open now with delivery expected in September.
