Transforming vehicles are hardly a new thing, nor are the kinds of things that said vehicles change into. From sentient humanoid robots to insects and animalistic beasts, we've seen a lot of transformations over the past 30+ years, but now there's a new entry into that realm that's putting some new twists on things. From Alpha Group (formerly Auldey Toys US) comes SCREECHERS WILD!, a new collection of vehicles that transform into creatures using "explosive 360-degree flip morphing action." They're definitely hitting on the retro marks with the launch, presenting a commercial that feels straight outta the 80s with its neon-grid patterns and action-packed visuals. They call it "fuel-injected feeding time" as the vehicles either pick up (or have launched to them) a plastic disc ("food") that activates the flip transformation. Take a look...

Netflix #StreamTeamOn Friday, December 22, there's a new Netflix Original Series making its debut that's a perfect binge for the holiday break. THE TOYS THAT MADE US is an all-new look at some of the most iconic toy lines of all-time, and they're rolling out the first season with some heavy hitters. While it's not embeddable (yet), a full trailer just launched on Netflix (see it here), and in honor of the release of STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI, a special sneak-preview of the Star Wars episode was released as well (see that below). In fact, amid all that vintage Kenner glory, you just might see a shot of yours-truly when the episode streams this Friday. I provided them with something that may be in there, but that's just a tiny piece of the overall puzzle. From Hasbro's G.I. Joe & Transformers to Mattel's Barbie and He-Man and The Masters of the Universe, there's a lot of history about to be told, with additional season one episodes set to focus on Hello Kitty, Star Trek and LEGO.

Mark Wahlberg is Headed for HASCON...

One of the highlights of the year for our family thus far was attending the red carpet premiere of TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT in Chicago. Among the cast and crew in attendance was star Mark Wahlberg, who's played Cade Yeager in the past couple of installments, and now he's headed for Hasbro's HASCON - their first ever "FANmily" event. Happening September 8 – 10, 2017 at the Rhode Island Convention Center and Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island, HASCON will bring Hasbro’s most iconic brands to life, with experiences based around Transformers, My Little Pony, Nerf, Magic: The Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons, G.I. Joe, Star Wars, MarvelPlay-Doh. Wahlberg will take part in a special panel devoted to the making of Michael Bay's latest TRANSFORMERS film, followed by a special dinner event. Check out the details below...

Hasbro's HASCON is fast-approaching, and today the toymaker has issued details on additional entertainment programming for their first ever "FANmily" event. Joe, Star Wars, MarvelPlay-Doh and more.

It was about a year and a half ago when Hasbro laid out their public plans to build a "cross-property interconnected onscreen universe featuring the brands G.I. JoeMicronautsVisionariesM.A.S.K. (Mobile Armored Strike Kommand) and ROM." In the comic world, IDW has already brought this to life with REVOLUTION, a crossover comic that also throws TRANSFORMERS into the mix, and at this year's San Diego Comic-Con, fans will be able to purchase the first toys based on the series in a massive "Mega-Set." This is right up my alley...

2017 marks the debut of HASCON - Hasbro’s first-ever family convention that’s taking place on September 8-10 at the Rhode Island Convention Center and Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, RI. With the toymaker highlighting their own brands for the very first time in a convention atmosphere, many have been wondering what that will entail, in addition to how some of their licensed properties (Star Wars/Marvel) would be represented. In short, this event is looking to be massive. Heading into the weekend, Hasbro sent over the full details on their brand experience activities for Transformers, My Little Pony, Nerf, Magic: The Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons, G.I. Joe, Star Wars, Marvel and Play-Doh. Check them out below!
