One of my favorite places in the world is Legends Plaza on the Walt Disney Studios lot in Burbank, California. The first time I visited the studio lot, I had my picture taken right next to the famous "Partners" statue by sculptor Blaine Gibson. There are five versions of the statue, and visitors to Disney Parks know it well - a perfect vision of Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse, looking proudly in the distance, perhaps at what's been accomplished, but more intriguingly at what is yet to come.  When I saw the latest catalog for Hallmark's Keepsake Ornaments (a tradition in our family) ahead of the annual July release, many items caught my eye, but one stood out - a version of "Partners" set for release this fall.

Back in the 90s, the folks at Hallmark offered a series of "Kiddie Car Classics" - diecast vehicles based on classic pedal cars, each with a Keepsake Ornament counterpart. Recently, the line returned, and now there's a new assortment racing into Hallmark Gold Crown stores (and online) featuring four new Kiddie Car vehicles - 1945 Gillham Fire Engine, 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS, Tracy's Hot Rod and 1957 Ford Thunderbird - each as a detailed diecast replica (with collector card) priced at $49.95, and as a Keepsake Ornament priced at $19.95. They look pretty sweet... take a look...

When it comes to some cool STAR WARS gifts, Hallmark has been a go-to source for many years. We have a dedicated Xmas tree just for their STAR WARS Keepsake Ornaments, and The Rock Daughters have amassed a robust collection of their STAR WARS itty bittys as well. Now comes news of some new and upcoming offerings that will no doubt expand our collection this year, and what better day to showcase them then on STAR WARS day?

With just two shopping days left until Christmas 2015, time is running out to find the perfect gift, but there's a one-stop shop that probably has a location right near you! I've been a Gold Crown Card-carrying fan of Hallmark for much of my adult life - my appreciation for Hallmark fueled by my mom, who started us on Keepsake Ornaments practically at birth. I've had several Hallmark items featured in my annual Holiday Wish Guide all season, but while I was traveling on some recent adventures, I returned home to a care package from my Hallmark friends in Kansas City - and that inspired this post. What was included was some right-in-the-money picks for our family, and a solid reminder that Hallmark has something for everyone. From thoughtful gifts, to the cards and wrap to present them in-style, they've got everything. I even did quite a bit of shopping there this season, but I can't show you what I bought... prying eyes on this site, if you catch my drift.

My friends at Hallmark are the latest to get in on the #ForceFriday action, announcing that Keepsake Ornaments, itty bittys® plush characters and Cubeez stacking boxes, as well as greeting cards, gift wrap and gifts inspired by STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS will become available beginning next month at you local Hallmark Gold Crown Store, and online at Hallmark.com. New products will become available on a rolling basis through the holiday season. Check out a preview below!
