Holiday Wish GuideWe have officially entered holiday movie season - a time when families gather to share classic tales and traditions while experiencing new ones as well. I'm a big fan of Christmas movies in general, often citing Jingle All the Way as the greatest holiday film of all-time (really, it's just my favorite).  Whatever your flavor, from A Christmas Story to National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, Elf or Emmett Otter's Jugband Christmas, they all have a lineage that dates back to a classic tale... Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. Now, the story of how that story came to be is coming to life in THE MAN WHO INVENTED CHRISTMAS, a new film opening in theaters everywhere on November 22, 2017.

To celebrate the release of the film and the launch of The Rock Father™ Magazine's annual Holiday Wish Guide™, we've teamed-up to give readers a shot at a Family Movies DVD Prize Pack that includes the 1984 version of A Christmas Carol starring George C. Scott, plus a pair of films featuring the stars of THE MAN WHO INVENTED CHRISTMAS - 2017's Beauty and The Beast (Dan Stevens) and 1965's The Sound of Music (Christopher Plummer)!

This is probably the first time this has ever happened - a past entry into 31 Days of Halloween returning three years later in a different form. Back in 2012, I featured "Bah Humbug Halloween" by Chicago's POOCHAMUNGAS here on the site, but what it didn't have then, it has now - a music video. In this tale inspired by Charles Dickens' A CHRISTMAS CAROL, Ebenezer Scrooge is found living in Chicago, bringing his grumpiness the the #1 Holiday of the year (aside from Xmas, of course). Can the ghosts right his wrongs for this one, too?

We all know what happens to old Ebenezer Scrooge in Charles Dickens' classic story, A CHRISTMAS CAROL. But prior to his ghost-induced personal turnaround, how did he act during the rest of the year? What was his demeanor during other holidays, like say, Halloween? Chicago's own POOCHAMUNGAS might just have the answer, as revealed in their new seasonal song, "Bah Humbug Halloween."
