I dig ZARDONIC quite a bit. The masked "Bass Metal" specialist released VULGAR DISPLAY OF BASS last year, and this year he's following it up with a remix album (and another PANTERA nod), FAR BEYOND BASS - THE VULGAR REMIXES. To celebrate the forthcoming release (date TBA), Zardonic is offering up a FREE DOWNLOAD of "Bring Back the Glory (210 Mix)" featuring Germany's Voicians. The track can be streamed in the player below, right here on The Rock Father... and downloaded via Zardonic's Facebook page.

This is pretty interesting... yesterday (a Saturday), KMFDM posts a Facebook update that reads "Brand-new KMFDM video here." The video in question is for "I Heart Not," a track from their newly-released album, KUNST. On the YouTube page, the video is clearly-labeled "KMFDM - 'I Heart Not' Official Video." It's even watermarked with the relevant info (artist/label/album/director). Fans on the Facebook page start panning the video, and all-of-a-sudden the public statistics and comments on YouTube are deleted, then turned off. Four hours later, KMFDM posts another Facebook update with another new video along with the following text: "Another brand new KMFDM video, like the one posted earlier it has had no input from us, they were made uncalled for by people that are into our music. Much appreciated !!" Sure it is.

Earlier this month, electro-rocker WVM released a new EP entitled THE END IS ONLY THE BEGINNING.  Featuring Chris Vrenna (Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, Tweaker) and Josh Freese (Nine Inch Nails, A Perfect Circle) playing drums on select songs, the record has been hailed as "an electronic masterpiece" by mixer Sean Beavan (Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson). On April 2, 2013, Twinkle Twinkle Little Rock Star will release LULLABY VERSIONS OF DEADMAU5, a twelve-song collection of hits and favorites from the mouse-headed electronic superstar, reworked into "lush instrumental versions" perfect for your baby's nursery. The folks at Roma Music Group (parent of Twinkle Twinkle Little Rock Star) have provided The Rock Father with an exclusive preview of the new record, and I'm sharing it with you today. This is one of those audio oddities that landed here in my inbox at Rock Father HQ and demands to be shared. Australian rockers CIRCLE have just released their mellow cover of the 1992 WRECKX-N-EFFECT (featuring Teddy Riley) single, "Rump Shaker." Sound intriguing? They've also made it available as a FREE DOWNLOAD, and you can snag it in the soundlcloud player below, courtesy of Monday Records.

Through seemingly countless mini-releases and live configurations over the past few years, Klayton - the multi-hyphenate musician/performer best known as CELLDWELLER - has been giving listeners bite-sized tastes of the music that would ultimately become his second full-length studio album. Now, after much waiting and anticipation, that album has been released as WISH UPON A BLACKSTAR. Out this week on FiXT, 'BLACKSTAR is searing hour of electronic music that bridges and blends elements of dance, industrial, dubstep, and more.

Obviously a lot of the parents that read The Rock Father™ are into rock, and that's cool - it is in the name and all. But, those of you that read closely, or have followed my adventures over the years, know that I'm a big supporter of a balanced musical diet, which brings me to this giveaway. It's been a little while since I've done a Random Rock column, so we're more than overdue. The drill is simple - I offer random-fire updates on a few dozen artists along with links to dig deeper, should you choose.
