31 Days of Halloween: Vintage Beistle Halloween Decorations

Today's installment of 31 Days of Halloween is an interesting one because the subject of my Day 26 post coincidentally followed @therockfather on twitter yesterday. Who is this mysterious outfit that evidentally either read my mind or somehow took a peek at my article notes for the month? Vintage Beistle.
The Beistle Company began manufacturing Halloween decorations back in the 1920s, and while their popularity boomed between the 30s and 50s, these cutouts and tissue centerpieces were made at least until the late 1970s. I know this because we had many of their products in my home growing up. In fact, I can still vaguely recall the scent of the cutouts and the crinkle of the tissue paper as we'd pull them out of storage each year.
What placed them firmly back on my radar is that The Beistle Company launched Vintage Beistle earlier this year to offer reproductions of several favorite designs from years past. With Halloween just five days away, I've sadly missed my shot to order some of these to decorate The Rock Father house for the season. Perhaps next year, my little ones will see these decorations adorning the windows with scotch tape just like they did daddy's house when he was a little boy.
