Holiday Wish GuideWe have officially entered holiday movie season - a time when families gather to share classic tales and traditions while experiencing new ones as well. I'm a big fan of Christmas movies in general, often citing Jingle All the Way as the greatest holiday film of all-time (really, it's just my favorite).  Whatever your flavor, from A Christmas Story to National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, Elf or Emmett Otter's Jugband Christmas, they all have a lineage that dates back to a classic tale... Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. Now, the story of how that story came to be is coming to life in THE MAN WHO INVENTED CHRISTMAS, a new film opening in theaters everywhere on November 22, 2017.

To celebrate the release of the film and the launch of The Rock Father™ Magazine's annual Holiday Wish Guide™, we've teamed-up to give readers a shot at a Family Movies DVD Prize Pack that includes the 1984 version of A Christmas Carol starring George C. Scott, plus a pair of films featuring the stars of THE MAN WHO INVENTED CHRISTMAS - 2017's Beauty and The Beast (Dan Stevens) and 1965's The Sound of Music (Christopher Plummer)!

This Disney Movies Under the Stars Backyard Theater feature is presented in collaboration with The Walt Disney Company

It was last year that something finally happened that I'd been hoping to do for a very long while... we finally put together a backyard theater here at Rock Father HQ. In partnership with Disney, we started an outdoor movie series right in our own backyard - and it was awesome. Movies are best enjoyed in a group, and while a great cinema experience is fantastic, there's something special about seeing a movie outdoors. Drive-in theaters are the best, and of course there's movies in the park - but now technology has caught up to the point where it's affordable for families to host some screenings at home. First up for our 2017 season? Disney's live-action reimagining of Beauty and the Beast!

Disney's live-action reimagining of the 1991 animated classic, Beauty and the Beast, is a huge hit, and with most big movies comes a line of great toys. As part of my gig with The Toy Insider, I recently took part in a Beauty and the Beast twitter party, and the folks at JAKKS Pacific sent us a couple of their new toys to play with here at Rock Father HQ. Ballroom Belle and the Enchanted Objects Tea Set are two of the most popular toys based on the new film, and ones right up The Rock Daughters' alley! Check out the video and details below...

This Friday, Walt Disney Studios will bring "a tale as old as time" back to life as their live-action telling of Beauty and the Beast waltzes into theaters. Along with the beautiful new film comes a wide selection of new toys and collectibles, and JAKKS Pacific is among those leading the charge, with some fantastic new dolls and roleplay items. To celebrate, The Toy Insider and JAKKS Pacific are throwing the #BeJAKKSGuest Twitter Party from 11am-12pm ET on March 17, the very day that the film makes its cinematic debut! RSVP now to take part!

If you're ready to rediscover "a tale as old as time," your chance is almost here. Hot off the release of a dozen character posters over the weekend (see them here), the final trailer for Bill Condon's live-action adaptation of the 1991 animated film, Beauty and the Beast has arrived. The clip made its debut during The Bachelor on ABC tonight, and comes complete with new footage, and your first-listen to Ariana Grande and John Legend’s duet of the iconic title theme. Check it out...

On March 17th, one of our most-anticipated films of the year will arrive in theaters, with Bill Condon's live-action adaptation of the 1991 animated film, Beauty and the Beast. The excitement is building, as the tv spots have started, the toys have arrived at retail, and snippets of the original soundtrack have begun getting out there (enamoring our girls). Just before the weekend, my friends at Disney unleashed a dozen character one-sheets, all of which can be seen in the gallery below. Take a peek...
